NCAA: 5 - 10

I keep looking for one....just one good reason not to pound the shit out of Miami and I can't find one. Take last year's game and throw it out the window. If anything, it will benefit the 'Canes......nobody likes to be embarassed and they sure were LAST YEAR. They have been waiting for this game for a year.
I look for the defense to absolutely eliminate the run, therefore creating many sack and pick opportunites. Plus they are at home, on national television. The place will be absolute chaos.......
Miami in a blowout: 41 - 17

MIAMI - 5.5

Just as a back up, I will probably play the over at 53.5, just in case GT can score with them. I think the only way Miami doesn't cover is if I am wrong about the defense. Their offense will score points.

Hey Tee,

I think you have this one right. Your analysis sure seems to make sense as I'm sure that the 'Canes have been waiting for this one.

I wanted you to know that I'm now retired so I now have the time to do something that I always wanted to do.I'm trying to keep track of a a few guy's plays here at MJs because I like to follow their plays and they seem to do well over the course of the season. When their plays match up I often put a couple of bucks on some of them myself. You are one of the guys that I really like to keep up with. I remember that you said that you crushed the book last year with a NCAA record of 87-51 63%. That just impessed the hell out of me so I decided that I'd like to cash in with you on some of your picks this season.

Anyways, I have you at 5-10. I'm pretty sure that this is correct because everthing was accurate until saturday when you had:

Sat 9/12
FRESNO ST +8 win 1-0
FRESNO ST UNDER 53 lose 1-1
MICHIGAN OVER 46 win 2-1
PENN ST - 28 lose 2-2
VA TECH -19 win 3-2
MICHIGAN ST -14.5 lose 3-3
IOWA ST +7.3 lose 3-4
WAKE -3.0 win 4-4
USC -7.0 lose 4-5

I'm sure that you probably just forgot to add in a couple of plays that were added on or in another post or something. I have no doubt that this was just an oversight.

I know that you will turn it around. I think I'll play Miami as well tonight. Good luck TeeMo.

On The Other Side
Tech has won 4 in a row (SU & ATS) vs. Miami. I'm not playing the side, because I love the under, but that's one good reason not to "pound the shit out of Miami." Good luck T!

Thanks Spang....!

Wise......you do have a point. However, I think eventually that same stat starts favoring the other team. Miami I'm sure is very aware of the same exact thing......and they are tire of that shit. They have a chance to put it all behind them, on ESPN at home. I think they get it done. Good luck on your under play.

Thoughts?

Are you adding units to this play?

Thanks and GL Tee

My book went from 5.5 last night and then down to 4 right now. Normally that would worry me a little bit.......but I am really comfortable in this play. I'm going to pump it at -4.... :scared

I am not sure I would throw last year's game out the window.
How many times do the Canes see the option?
Answer: Only when they face GT.

GT had 56 carries for 472 yards vs Miami last year which allowed them to go the entire game only having to pass 7 times.
If running is a success again then the picks and the sacks will not be coming.
GT secondary was burned for big plays vs Clemson and Miami was gashed at times by FSU run attack.
My lean is only on the over as I could see GT burning the Miami defense and I am pretty sure Miami will score.

Good Luck Teemo

Also while saying GT has beaten Miami 4 straight times means nothing to me.

This is only the 2nd season Paul Johnson has coached GT so Miami was not facing the triple option flexbone in the other 3 games.
They sure as hell didn't handle stopping it well last year.
If the coach before ran a similar offense then I would put some weight into it.

the keys to the gm : miami qb situation is much different than it was a yr ago... Gt won't have the ball as much.. Miami D /any D moves up with less time on the field.. Lovett knows how to slow Gt down..

I agree that Miami qb situation is much different and much better which is why I think they score more than their share.
It is hard if not impossible to win a time of poss. battle with a triple option opponent.
I think Miami will be getting yards in chunks to boot which is why I like the over.

any truth or confirmation to the following report..

Flu bug bites Hurricanes

The Miami Hurricanes are the latest college football team to get bitten by the flu bug.

The Hurricanes are reporting that three players ? most notably safety Jojo Nicolas ? are suffering from illness heading into Thursday's conference clash with Georgia Tech. There is speculation that the outbreak could be spreading through the Miami locker room.

Nicolas, the only starter of the three players listed, joins cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke (concussion) on the sidelines while defensive end Eric Moncur (groin) and receiver Aldarius Johnson (groin) are listed as probable and questionable for this week's ACC showdown.

Miami is a 5.5-point home favorite for Thursday's game.

This could possibly be contributing to the drop from 5.5 to 4 and possibly lower
