I would say that the rich are paying more in taxes BUT, it is a smaller percentage of their income because they are earning a much larger share of the income.

All depends on how you look at the picture - actual amount of taxes paid vs percentage of income paid.

Statistics can tell you anything you want to here - it's all how you present them.

But your definition of accurate is different from Dogs.

So, statistics can say whatever YOU want them to say in support of your argument.

I have taken classes in statistics and probabilities. My father in law taught statistics and probabilities. I KNOW what can be done to data.....

Yes, my definition is different from doggie's. He counts only Federal income tax. I count ALL taxes paid, which is a fairer picture of tax vs income.

I can do Statistics (with a capital S) too as I am a Chem Engr, by education and registration. While my FIL never taught Statistics, I wouldn't claim his knowledge as mine anyway. He retired as Col. US Army Artillery, but that doesn't improve my expertise in ballistics.

My point was that doggie uses only one tax to support his point, when full tax burden is far more meaningful.

If you don't want folks to think you are a birther, stop talking like one - "how hard can it be?"
