(WGR 550) -- Ryan Miller started skating yesterday and today on his own. Miller said it's the natural progression of his ankle rehab. He stated he used two different tape jobs with some discomfort. Miller said, "A lot of what I have to do is make sure I'm keeping that scar tissue active, breaking it up, keeping all the muscles around it active and doing the things I need to be doing. Even though there might be some discomfort, I need to do some stretching." He did say every day it seems to get better, but no timetable on when he'll start practicing.
It looks like Mikael Tellqvist will get his first start as a Buffalo Sabre tomorrow in Ottawa. Tellqvist mentioned to me that he is playing. He's only played once since being acquired on March 4th from Phoenix and that was in a mop up roll where he let in one goal in Philadelphia on four shots in 14 minutes.
Adam Mair has a knee injury and may miss a week or two. Ruff said it is not season ending.
