RICHMOND +2 - I think that this line is based more on reputation than performance, because I feel that the wrong team is favored. Richmond is now 15-12 S/U on the year, winning their games by an average of 4.1 points. Granted, they were rather erratic down the stretch, but they did win 3 of their last 4 games, so they may be returning to their fine form of the early season. Remember, this team was good enough to handily beat Xavier by 8 points on the road, so they are very capable of running the table in this tournament on their best game. Temple is under .500 at 13-14, and they are a terrible 8-19, 29.6% ATS. Things have not been much better as a favorite, as the Owls are 4-8, 33.3% in that role. This team did have a hot stretch in the middle of the year after just an awful start. However, they have still been unable to beat the better teams of the Atlantic 10, and they finished the year with a 31-point loss to the same Xavier team that Richmond beat in the same building. Richmond also dominated the only regular season meeting, routing Temple 61-42, and although this game may be much closer, I still project a Spiders victory.
