LOL Wayne...
forgot to say thanks earlier in the thread...
not too worried about the recent slump, i was way above where I thought I'd be for the year - was aiming for around +40 units in my 1st season of tennis fulltime...
right, better go check the golf threads for some winners, stan has been dead unlucky with the outrights of late...

Berdych has been playing great.....I'm all over this and I'm taking him to win the tourney at around 30/1.

alb-
im on berdych to win at 22-1, and now 11-1 - what do you think the line in the final gainst roddick or davydenko would be? Thanks... And by my calculations, we just hedge all the way in, and we make money... unless roddick is like -500 or something crazy like that.thanks

I ended up getting 33.0 for Berdych at an exchange before the Ferrero match.

I think Davydenko or Stepanek will be a small fav although probably undeservingly. I won't be hedging there or against Gaudio. Berdych should hit the final if he keeps his head and plays the same as in the last month. But then I'm worried he will bust in the final like Montfils did last week against Roddick. But Roddick has to face Ljubicic (probably) and anyone can win that as it should be a long grind out 7-6, 6-7, 7-6 match. The final against Berdych; I am guessing Roddick -250 or Ljubicic -200.

Roddicks lower back pains were quite evident today as he struggled and was actully very lucky to beat Ferrer (he choked). The oddsmakers are on to this as Ljubicic is made -157 at Pinnacle. Based on what I watched, he was squeemish, sweating in pain and not able to run down shots or play any low volleys. He won't be able to break Lubjicic in this condition so the price on Lubbie will probably get worse.

I am making it a play....but not too big as you never know what a shot of cortesone or sniff of white candy may do for Roddick's back. His serve seemed unaffected.

I'd love to play Berdych at +120 but I already have him to win the tourney. Ah hell, I'll play it anyway....after all, he probably goes down to Lubbie in the final.

As expected, Roddick in pain and is not chasing any balls....I'm not use to seeing him play like this. It's hard to believe he made it to the semi-final! Lubbie is already up 3-0 and cruising. Roddick may retire but I hope they get a set in first!

Give Roddick credit for hanging in there with good serving. It really looked like he was going to retire and he probably should have. He could not touch Ljubicic's serve......getting to only 30 once (maybe twice). The commentator said Lubbie had a run of 22 straight service points. A healthy Roddick would probably have won this game.

Berdych does the business on Stepanek to make us a happy camper. Ljubicic is going to open up too strong a favourite....probably around -270 and the price will drop as his Roddick victory his being overblown. His serves have been amazing throughout the tourney though. However Berdych is not getting the credit he deserves yet. Remember, he is the only player to beat both The Fed and Nadal in the last 18 months. I have this priced at Lubbie -200 with the upset well in order.

alb,
Need a little guidance here, if you dont mind... So I have 150 risked on Berdych to win 2000... how much would you buy back, given the -250 that Ljub will probably be... thanks in advance
