I am hearing he will be fired after the special Board of Regents Meeting Friday afternoon.

It's been coming for awhile. Pretty stupid on both ends - especially him as he is fighting over provisions about interviewing and buyouts when it's abundantly clear at this point he cant get a better job.

First in your hearts.
I saw this article from Dallas. After talking about the contract, it said there were some sticking points.

The four points involve the guaranteed termination compensation Leach would receive if fired, the buyout amount he would pay if he left early, a penalty for interviewing for another job without permission and who controls Leach's personal property rights.

What does that mean? Who controls his personal property rights? Does this mean whether he can advertise for someone without the school's permission?

I don't have time to write all of the details but the company that represents Tech and the company that represent Leach are competitors and the way the extension is set up now Tech's company would control his personal property rights and he wants his representation to control it.

Dykes because they would most likely keep the current staff besides Leach and Briles would want to bring in his own staff. I don't think Tech could afford to pay for it.

If they let go of Leach and Dykes comes in I will be a very angry Tech fan. I love the Dykes family and have been a very big fan every since I grew up as a Midland Lee fan and Spike brought us to the State championship game but this would be a bad hire. If Leach has to go then Briles would make for an excellant hire mainly for the relationships he has with Texas high school coaches.

Ohio but not a Buckeye
How can a University want to take money from his public speaking and appearances? That has to be one of the dumbest things I've heard of.

Can't blame them for wanting 1.5$ mil for talking to other schools/interviews, but that other shit is bogus.

How's the saying go? Any pub is good pub! How many times during this time of the year is Tech in the news for football. :mj07: I'm joking of course
