Sometimes Texas has a tendancy to start off slow. They usually pour it on 2nd half.

Like the Kansas game for example.
52-0 at the half.

A&M is awful. May come out on a high in first drive or 2,but reality sets in quick once they realize how easy Texas can score.

Halftime score Texas 38-7.

i'm guessing based on memory that the only game texas came out flat was against okla st and they buried them in the 2nd half. texas pretty much hasn't broke a sweat outside of that game since sept at ohio state. so i wouldn't consider texas to be a team that has the slow starting tendencies of usc.
