Nothing new on the status of Ash. Day to day with a head and shoulder injury. My gut says he doesn't play and we are forced to watch (or listen to because of the bs LHN) McCoy prance around in the backfield. If Ash doesn't play Horns have zero chance IMO. Daje Johnson has already been ruled out which doesn't help and I think most would agree that Texas is going to have to score a ton to have a chance. If a team can't or just flat out won't tackle, a new coordinator isn't going to solve anything. Nothing against BYU, who played their asses off, but I'm pretty sure Mississippi is going to bring out some better athletes on offense which is frightening. I'm interested to see just how bad the home crowd attitude is going to be towards their own team.

x2 to what Cole said. I can't really add anything. It looks like this is going to be a disasterous year at Texas and Mack will hopefully be replaced next year with a dynamic coach who can bring Texas football back to respectability.

You know this reeks of the type of game Texas has no right to cover let alone win, but somehow pulls off the upset to keep Mack from being fired himself.

Great point, and while there is no way I would risk a dime on Texas, this is what would keep me from pulling the trigger on the Rebels. Every time it looks like change is on the brink Mack pulls one out of his ass. Pretty tough game to bet on IMO.

Texas will get blown out.
I told the UT alumni fundraising girl that called me this morning to give cash that I wouldn't drop another dime until Mack is out the door.
At least my priorities are in order....

:0074 Hopefully Mack gets run out of town after this year, I wonder what his payoff is though? 20 mil?

His buyout is 2.75 million. Just heard Dodds is stepping down after this year. Mack is really going to be feeling the heat now.

if Dodds leaves, Mack leaves, Barnes leaves. Start all fresh. Barring a miracle, Brown and Barnes are gone after this year anyway. Dodds might as well leave too.

Ash is out. McCoy is in and I suspect they'll throw in some wrinkles with....um...the #3 guys whose name eludes me and I'm too lazy to go look it up.

I cannot bet Texas but I agree everything stinks about this game. This is a classic "buy low" type of scenario but I wont lay another dime on Texas this year.

Swoopes. I know they didn't want to burn his redshirt but they may be more willing to do it now that they know they could be on borrowed time. Really weird game to bet on.
