Because of the rainout, the Rangers will skip Aaron Myette's scheduled turn in the rotation Monday. Myette could be sent back to Triple-A Oklahoma without another start.
Ryan Glynn pitches Sunday, and Kenny Rogers on Monday. The Rangers then pick up the rotation as originally scheduled with Rick Helling on Tuesday and Pat Mahomes on Wednesday. Tentatively, Myette will start Thursday at home against Kansas City.
Darren Oliver, who makes a rehabilitation assignment start Sunday, is scheduled to pitch again Thursday. It's possible, though not probable, that if Oliver is effective, he could return to the starting rotation Thursday.

Infielder Scott Sheldon, who hasn't had an at-bat since May 17, was supposed to start Sunday at third base for Ken Caminiti. Instead, he will likely be pushed back to play Monday for the first time. Caminiti has been hot of late, carrying a season-high seven-game hitting streak into Sunday. He has a .333 average (14-for-42) over the last 12 games. ... Apparently, the Rangers weren't wrong about left-hander Matt Perisho . He was designated for assignment by Detroit on Friday after posting a 0-2 record and 10.26 ERA in seven games.
