1st game back home after a tough road trip, and 9th game in 17 days for the Ducks. Tippett publicly said he was very disappointed in the Stars not having the killer instinct in the tie in Pho. Turco in net should hold the Ducks offense at bay. Ducks historically do not do well 1st home game off of long road trip.

Fla has been competitive in all their games lately, except the blow-out loss in SJ. Luongo and Hurme are as good a 1-2 punch as there is in hockey. Both can steal a game all on their own.

That Kings game last night was a mirror image of a Kings game in Chicago last month. Leading the game by 1 with :30 seconds left in regulation and losing the game in OT. Like the Stars play, but curious as to why the books have the Sabres as such a high fav? Could it be because the books know Joe Public will shy away from the high juice and play the Jackets at a good price? The books do everything for a reason, hmmmmmmmm!

jake: You have a good point there. I cap a little different than most, though, I think. I look for value in a line first, which means +ROI, then I go from there. I used to get myself in trouble by double guessing the line. This line kinda reminds me of the lines NYR used to get at the beginning of the season. Better team on paper, but no team chemistry and no continuity on the ice. They might start a winning streak starting tonite, but they could take another 10 games before they take off. With only 3 wins in 18 games, I just couldn't back Buff until they show me otherwise.

taking Kings tommorow vs stars...i know teams don't fair well playing the 1st home game after coming back from a long road trip but stars playing back to back games on the road(if you count 15 min travel back to back)...maybe tugnett will be in net...so do u like the kings in this spot? i know I will be hammering the kings..maybe +130
