Texas (+7) over TCU
TCU's 45.9 points per game. 541.6 yards per contest rank in the top five. The Horned Frogs also have one of the nation's best turnover margins at plus-14.No. 2 scoring offense and No. 4 total offense in the nation. Anyone who watches college football knows TCU is an explosive team. They are also a mystery. The Kansas game is an example. On the other side everyone expected Stong to throw burnt orange into national contention after week one. These are two great coaches and better at getting a lot from their talent. I would expect both teams are coached up in this game.
The Texas offense has been fairly consistent over the last three games, and TCU needs to put a stop to the recent progress. Quarterback Tyrone Swoopes. Texas is on a three-game winning streak and has come together as a team to battle for bowl eligibility. Both teams want to win this game. Both teams have looked very good over the past few. Weeks. Texas is not the same team as they were earlier this month. Strong has done a great job since they were shut out to rebound and play. Together. Momentum is big in these types of games. WVU was on a high note when they played TCU and should have one that game.
The Horned Frogs have everything to lose and are fighting to prove their worth. That's a lot of pressure on the road, on a holiday, against an instate Defensively, Texas has been surprisingly successful this season, ranking 24th nationally in points allowed and 28th in total yards allowed with just under 350 given up per game.
Looking over this game I like Texas playing relaxed and playing at home. They have a ton of talent and they are starting to buy into the game play. This team goes by Swoopes and he is starting to understand Strongs system. Texas has the horses. The question has been what are they doing out there? Over the past few weeks it appears they do know what they are doing and they have been productive.
Like to see the horns contain Boykin in the pocket. Make his stay there and collapse him in the pocket. Swoopes has to throw the ball well and make plays with his feet. I expect the team that does not force will win. TCU is thinking about how much is on the line. That is enough to make a college kid press his game.
Cheers
