Been a long week... Just got home and realized some HSF Title games getting ready to kick... Sorry no write - ups but here's what I've played already.

7 am MHSAA Div 8
G
Breckenridge 45'
Reading -12'

While tempting to try the Over here, I can't bite as both programs promote D first... These two have combined for 16 shut-outs (Breckenridge 9.....Reading 7)...Reading Rangers were involved in a shoot out against Pittsford 65-48 however, appears to be a glitch.... Breckenridge Huskies have only given up 41 points all year... And have only allowed 6 points in last 2....

Only Michigan Championship game involving 2 undefeated teams.

2 units on Under 45' LOSS FS: Reading 39 B 20

1 unit on Reading -12 WIN

Illinois HSF Championship

Class 1A

8 am

Forreston -3'
Camp Point Cent 56'

Forreston Cardinals are playing their 3rd State Title game in 6 years... Retired HC Legend Denny Diduch has been replaced with a very able Kyle Zick that has his Cards playing some very inspired ball.... Cards won state in 2016 & 2014.....Team likes to run the ball over and over with a platoon of RBs in a Triple Option Offense...

Camp Point Central Panthers run a double-wing and average 264.2 rush yards per game behind lead RB Cole Williams... 1,220 yards w/20 TDs... This is the programs 1st Title game appearance.

2 units on the Over 56' LOSS FS: For 44 CPC 6

2 units on Forreston -3' WIN

Indiana HSF Champ... Lucas Oil Field

9 am Class 2A

Eastbrook 57
Western Boone -10'

Western Boone Stars are a perfect 14-0 and returned 9 offensive starters from last year's 9-4 team... Jr QB Spencer Wright has passed for 2,139 yards & 441 rush yards.... Defense is stout only allowing 7.2 ppg and is opportunistic with 41 forced turn-overs.... Stars trying to win schools first State Title since 1983.

Eastbrook Panthers are 13-1 and managed a runner-up finish in 2016....Team runs a spread option attack averaging 358 rush yards... In the Championship for 2nd time in 3 years... HC Jeff Adamson is in his 30th year and has recorded 268 wins... The run dominant offense puts points on the board, however, sometimes the Defense sputters...

2 unit on the Over 57 LOSS FS: WB 34 E 20 *missed by 3

Div 2 Champ @ Ford Field

Mona Shores 52'
DeLaSalle Collegiate -12'

DeLaSalle Pilots have an explosive offense averaging 48 ppg in the playoffs... Pilots are the defending Champs and have done great to get to this point considering the team has lost 2 starting QBs and a RB (all with season ending injuries).... Pilots have won 2 titles in the last 4 years... Defensively, Pilots have held playoff opponents to 20 combined points.

Muskegon Mona Shores are 12-1 and have the main nucleus of starters on both sides of the ball minus a QB... Wr James Gilbert is getting lots of D1 looks as he has caught 60 receptions for 1,500 yards w/15 TDs... QB Caden Broersma has rushed for 1,000 yards and passed for 2,000 w/19 TDs... Team runs option and is capable of putting up big points.

Should be a good game.

2 units on Mona Shore +12' LOSS FS: MS 16 DLS 29 *Shitty way to lose

2 units on the Under 52' WIN

High schoolers

I played Mona Shores LOSS

Lumen Christ Catholic pk, -1.5, -2 One of my top plays WIN WIN WIN

Chelsea +22 Small win

Clarkston +13.5 and I like the under also... This is a dangerous game as Chippewa Valley is special.

Madison Over 52, 53 This is one of my top plays WIN WIN

Carmel +18.5,19 Like this one a lot Ugly loss

Pioneer -27.5 Blowout- Smaller because of the spread. I see a 51-10 type game WIN

Gibson City Over 55.5 Like this one Loss
Maroa +10.5 If we get moneylines play it Was in it until a late pick 6 then fell apart

Bishop Mac +9.5,+10.5 If I get a moneyline playing the moneyline win and loss as game landed on 10

King +19.5, 18.5,+17 If I get a moneyline I will be on the moneyline here as well. King dropped a division from 2 to 3. They were the b2b state champion at d2 and now they have dropped to d3. This line is insane. Winner and we got the moneyline at +415 which also hit!!! this was a big hit

Intersting game tomorrow... Loyola Academy the spread is 6 but the total is just 27.5 and it seems to have a chance to stay under. I like the dog but... Dunno.

Champaign has light winds and it will be raining later. May impact the games.

Overall today was entertaining but had too many close losses. Mona Shores was ugly, Carmel lost by 20 when catching 19.5. B mac still going. Tomorrow we get FCS, D2 and D3 playoffs!!! WOOT WOOT

A great high school weekend. We have Ohio, KY, WV next weekend... Lets see if we get lines.

Maroa-forsyth 55'

Game is rematch from last years Championship in which GC-M-S won 38-32.....Maroa-forsyth Trojans no stranger to State Title games as they have been there 3 times in a row and 10th overall trip.

Is this the year they get it done and provide a little payback from last year's last minute win?

Agree with Musca

Hopefully we see some Ohio lines next week...

Tomorrow in Michigan I think Madison getting points is a big gift as they should definitely be favored. Also think 17 is way too many for King to get.

Carl

... Lets hope we get Ohio and Ky next week! That would be phenomenal....

That Madison game is a tight game but it is definitely an over for me. I think it is going to be a shootout.
Detroit King is by far one of my more heavily hit games so far.

Watching the Michigan games so far- Been some serious hitting.

Think about this in the 8a Illinois games-
Brother Rice which plays in a top conference in the state- Had 6 shutouts and 3 other games where the opponent scored 3. WOW!!!!

Loyola Academy upset the multi time state winner last week and their prize... Brother Rice. When I saw the 27.5 instinct said hit the over... alas...

Speckler where are you in Ohio? Northern I am assuming? I graduated High School in Southern OHio

Indiana Div 4A

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger -2'
Evansville Central 40'

Central never been to a State Final in any sport so this one's mega special for the Bears... Love to run to the tune of 257.7 rush yards per game... Jr RB Brennan Schulte is a 2,000 yard rusher.. QB is efficient passing for 1,488 yards... O-Line is dominant and physical.

FWB Dwenger is 13-1 and holds opponents to 11.5 ppg (ranked 6th in 4A)... This is Saints 11th State Championship Appearance (holds 4 crowns)... O-Line is also dominant averaging 260 lbs.... OT Joe Tippmann is 6'6" 300 lbs, going to Wisconsin.... Rush attack averages 200 yards per game.... Defense has 21 INTs on the year and has several Div 1 recruits.....

Interesting both HC are in their 1st year at the helm.... Teams appear to be doppelgangers of each other with strong rushing attacks... Bears may have more home run potential.... But I think I'll stick with the team who has been there before.

2 units on Dwenger -2' WIN FS: BD 16 EC 10

WEBO won the game 34-20. They were wearing them down. Took over possession deep and got the first down and went to victory formation. Juiced here. Was a good game

I placed this parlay for pizza money.... I agree with you. EC has some athletes but I think Dwenger can limit big plays

NOTHING you can tell me would make me think otherwise... Coach of De La Salle knew the spread... There is no reason to go for 2 there... actually it is a situation where you would NOT go for 2. Up 11 you kick the XP to go up 12 so 2 TD's much be scored to beat you. If you do not get the 2 pt conversion then you are only up 11 which is a FG and TD... BIg difference.
That was yucky looking

MICHIGAN DIV 6

1:30

MONTAGUE +6
Lumen Christi 55'

Hopefully you jumped on this game early at -1....-6 is alot to ask but Titans are that good... Two time defending State Champs returned only 6 starters from last years team but great programs simply reload and that's what HC Herb Brogan (Has 8 State Titles and 355-83 Rec) His 39 year tenure ranks him at 5th on Michigan's winningest Coach's list..... Titans are the juggernaut in the Div.

Montague Wildcats employ a balanced attack that has amassed over 3,000 rush yards with more than 2,000 pass.... RB Bryce Stark (1,500 rush yards w/2t tds will have to be accounted for.....

Price is still reasonable.

2 units Lumen Christi -6 WIN FS: LC 42 M 28

Byron +4'
Monticello 58'

2 units on Byron +4' WIN FS: B 20 M 24
2 units on Under 58' WIN

Byron Tigers getting 4' seems to be a nice play but I love the Under here too.... Byron doesn't throw the ball around and loves to rush with 3 different RBs (all are over 1,000 yards)..

Monticello Stags are 13-0 (as is Byron) and this is their first trip to the State Title game at Memorial Stadium... QB Braden Snyder has 3,131 yards w/39 TDs, so most of the offense goes through Braden.

Two contrasting styles but important to note these two locked horns last year in playoffs, Byron eeked out a 21-20.......Think this one will be close too and with a run dominant Tiger Offense think the pots a little heavy on the Total.

Bob Lutz,
Ironton never played Big Red, that I remembered, but they did have some great games with Bellaire. We were fortunate enough to win last year after back to back runnerups.

WEather is becoming a factor in Illinois

WEather is becoming a factor in Illinois

Yessir....
I played 2 years for Coach Lutz before catastrophic injuries ended my sports career. He was awesome!

The weather is becoming a big factor in Illinois. Rain, cold, wind... turf is very wet and looks like that old school turf.

I have Bishop Mac + The 1st time these two teams played this year the game ended 21-20 so maybe worth an add on the under. I am kind of licking my wounds have Mona shores and the De la Salle debacle...
