I'm throwing down the gauntlet to JSMOOTH after he posted a challenge in regards to the UM/OSU game Nov. 23rd. He declared that he would bet that if Michigan lost he would leave MadJack's. Since that thread was closed I am stepping up to take that challenge and wait to see him back himself out of this corner. I guarantee that people will watch the game with even more interest which ever side they decide to take. I've had a plane ticket and a ticket to the game for months so I'm all set to watch my victory in person. This bet goes out to anyone should Mr. Big Mouth not except himself. Regardless of the records of the two teams going into the game the bet will hold true. I truly believe that I will be posting my best regards to the challenger after I wake from my drunken stupor Sunday morning. Forget any other college game this season... this will be the most entertaining game of the year!!! One way or the other...

why cant you just have a bet that loser puts up winners banner on there posts for a month or a year ??? Leaving the forum would be stupid there is to much good info here. Hopefully it doesnt come down to someone leaving.

I'm a newbie here, but i think it would be ridiculous to have to leave this site just because of a bet (that you can't win btw ). I think having to display the OSU banner would be punishment enough, although it would give your posts a touch of class, and it might teach you to respect the buckeye.
Half the fun of sports is being able to talk smack to others about the success of your team or the failure of your opponents team.
Did you hear that the University of Michigan library burned to the ground? All five books in the library were destroyed. The football team was very upset because they hadn't colored in two of them yet

OK, so really this is none of my business but I have been watching this unfold for a while and just want to put my 2 cents in.
First of all, I'm an Illini alum so ya know I've got no love for either the Wolverines or the Buckeyes.
To all those that are telling JSMOOTH and Bigdad2 that this bet should not be made: don't be selfish. Sure we are all here to help each other out and beat the man, but everybody's got a right to do whatever the hell they want with their capping skills. If you are friends with either of them then obviously you'll still be able to get picks and share info with them if they're no longer here. And if you've just been coattailing them, then what do either of them owe you? Honestly, at this point can either of them back down without looking very yellow? No! So whether any of us like it or not, this bet is going to go down and one of them will no longer be here come Sunday. That's there decision to make, and they obviously have already made it, so I don't see any more point in trying to talk them out of it.
