Did a great job building homes for people who couldn't afford them.. Oh yea.. it's not a happy ending. :0corn
Binyamin Appelbaum of the Boston Globe describes how Chicago proved that it is actually possible to build a perpetual motion ? ahem ? perpetual money machine. The formula is as follows: take one large batch of community activists, add programs to create massive amounts of low cost housing, add public subsidies and stand back!

The squat brick buildings of Grove Parc Plaza, in a dense neighborhood that Barack Obama represented for eight years as a state senator, hold 504 apartments subsidized by the federal government for people who can?t afford to live anywhere else.

But it?s not safe to live here.

About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition.

Listen diplips

We have already been through this countless times.

I will repeat it here again.

You don't get it and you probably never will.

We are not electing Obama for what he has accomplished in his past.

We are electing Obama to make the tough changes that America needs right now.

We are electing Obama because he has the ability and intelligence to persevere through the many extraordinary challanges that the next President will face.

We are electing Obama because he is a young talent who will do his best to be fair to every American.

We are choosing Obama because it is the only way to keep another term of Bush with all them mistakes and just plain bad luck, and the trillion dollar budget defication, and so many other things.

We are choosing Obama because he is much more mentally stable than a maverick with a temper.

ORielliy - So listen Obama your finally here.

Obama - Yeh I am here.

ORielly - So answer me , did the surge work.

Cut in - OK and when Obama hesitates to answer OReilly digs him on it.

The only reason ORielly was pressing this was to get Obama to say something that would be used by the McCain campaign in every ad machine and run in every newspaper in the country. And who was interviewing him when he said that ? That would be Bill OReilly with a agenda. A agenda to get his money as some icon of the news.

Obama aint stupid

And I wouldnt be surprised if the McCain campaign called in that request to ask him that kind of shit.

Instead of getting the answers , ORielly was looking to further gain as the attack dog interviewer.

Its all part of the game.

And it aint supposed to be that way. Thats the dirty politics of Bush and Cheney, Hillary and Billy
and a long list of entrenched incumbants that need to get kicked out on their ear.

This is where real change has to come.

Kicking out the corruption.

Getting rid of the Lobbys and all they influence.

Getting all Americans health care that they can afford and get the best care in the world.

Hiring people in the cabinet that will truly challange him to give back the best he can to all Americans.

Yeh change. Real change. Its the kind of change that most Repubs have been dreading for many years. No more free rides.

There's a new sherrif in town boys, and his name is Obama.

from what I gathered he was just trying to see if Obama could admit making mistake-- the answer was no.

As for interview so far--I thought Part 1
- was boring on both their parts.

I'm looking forward to part 3 of interview on radical associates--just can't see how he's going to sqeeze them all- into an hour :)

Obama aint stupid

No he's not, but he is the biggest left wing liberal in Washington that wants the government to run the healthcare system.

And we all know how well the gov runs programs:mj07:

Yea he's right on target with the same old liberal mantra, government run everything because they know best, I pretty sure that sounds like socialism to me.

Yep he is really going to change things, too bad it will be for the worse.:scared :SIB

Exactly.. been waiting for a while for anyone in the media to ask him about ALL of these ties, and not accept his BS answers. It will be fun watching him squirm and try to dodge the real answers. Oh I had never heard Rev Wright preach on anything along those lines.. if i did, I would have gotten up and left :mj07:

This has been my #1 question about Mr Hussein Obama. For someone so new to the public, he gets so defensive if anyone tries to ask him ANYTHING about his past.

Who said you can't wait till Palin get's a shot with press. She's under 24 hour lock down. They have her studing maps of USA. And learning how not to say the word BUSH. They dont want her to answer why she was for, before she was against
that bridge. And that air plane she didn't sell on ebay.

My wife just remind me about the late Johnny Carson once saying. All these kids coming out of college think they know so much. Everyone of them should finish there education as a Bartender a Cab Driver and a Community Organizer or Volunter. They should do all of them for a month or two and then they will really know something.
He was two of those him self before his break came.
