thanks to all the guys who tossed in some great contributions in the opinion thread on this game i posted last night. that was quintessential madjacks in that thread with all the great info and opinions.

atlanta and houston under 8.5 (-110)

after looking at this one frome every angle, i found these points to be salient:

* oswalt pitching on three days rest isnt as scary as i first thought. he only threw 88 pitches in game one, and going back to his final start of the regular season, he only threw 90 in that start. if he had thrown 200+ pitches in his L2 starts, id be far more concerned. not worried about 178.

* i know wright got lit up in game one, but he has been dominant at turner field this season, so im willing to call game one an anomaly. and i just cant get his game 7 track record out of my head from his time in cleveland. his career has been up and down, due in large part to his arm trouble, but when it comes down to it, ive always liked his confidence/cockiness -- hes a guy who WANTS the ball in a big game. he shut down two stud lineups when he started deciding games in '97. i know it was 6 years ago, but hes been here before and has the experience. some guys choke, and some guys sack up. he sacks up.

the side in the game is just way too tough. but im confident that we dont see more than 4-3 game.

gman......I have never thought more about a game in a long time! My decision is this......

I sacked up and took the Astros. Lots of people know lots about sports. Lots of people in this forum know lots about sports. Most know that the Braves as a dog at home in a HUGE game is fishy.

I know lots about sports, but I am using my gambling smarts here......if gambling were as easy as just knowing sports, we would all be rich.

Gimme the Stro's and the under. Oswalt shuts em down tonight......

Good luck man!

looks like the wrong decision, lol. starters were decent, but bullpens coming in with gas cans and matches in hand.

hopefully tennessee can hang on in nfl and get this back and then some.

tease, nice job on houston
