The Democratic leading arbiter of truth and integrity

My name is Mary Jo Kopechne.
I would have been 65 years of age this year.
Read about me and my killer below:
When Sen. Ted Kennedy was merely just another Democrat bloating on Capitol Hill on behalf of liberal causes, it was perhaps excusable to ignore his deplorable past.
But now that he's become a leading Republican attack dog, positioning himself as Washington's leading arbiter of truth and integrity, the days for such indulgence are now over.
It's time for the GOP to stand up and remind America why this chief spokesman had to abandon his own presidential bid in 1980 - time to say the words "Mary Jo Kopechne" out loud.
As is often the case, Republicans have deluded themselves into thinking that most Americans already know the story of how this "Conscience of the Democratic Party" left Miss Kopechne behind to die in the waters underneath the Dike Bridge on Chappaquidick in July 1969, after a night of drinking and partying with the young blonde campaign worker. But most Americans under 40 have never heard that story, or details of how Kennedy swam to safety, then tried to get his cousin Joe Garghan to say he was behind the wheel.
Those young voters don't know how Miss Kopechne, trapped inside Kennedy's Oldsmobile, gasped for air until she finally died, while the Democrats' leading Iraq war critic rushed back to his compound to formulate the best alibi he could think of.
Neither does Generation X know how Kennedy was thrown out of Harvard on his ear 15 years earlier -- for paying a fellow student to take his Spanish final. Or why the US Army denied him a commission because he cheated on tests.
As they listen to the Democrats' "Liberal Lion" accuse

President Bush of "telling lie after lie after lie" to get America to go to war in Iraq, young voters don't know about that notorious 1991 Easter weekend in Palm Beach when Uncle Teddy rounded up his nephews for a night on the town, an evening that ended with one of them credibly accused of rape.
It's time for Republicans to state unabashedly that they will no longer "go along with the gag" when it comes to Uncle Ted's rants about deception and moral turpitude inside the Bush White House.
And if the Republicans don't, let's do it ourselves by passing this forgotten disgrace around the Internet to wake up memories of what a fraud and fake Teddy really is.
The Democratic Party should be ashamed to have the national disgrace from Massachusetts as their spokesman.

You might want to dig a bit deeper into the Bush's past...

Pretty sure "telling lie after lie after lie" is the least of their "problems" as well ;)

Yep. Just watching the NBA on ESPN now actually steve... ;)

Just sayin' dude!...There's a hell of a lot of skeletons in a hell of a lot of closets...

...there's just not much point in pointing the finger at just one man and playing the political 'I told you so's' imo.

(btw...no, I NEVER watch CNN...there was actually a very good list of 'wrongs' by the Bush family posted here a while back...to far back for the search tho...I might have a scoot around on the 'net for a look.)

he was pointing out the hypocrisy of Teddy, thats it. It would be like W being on a panel telling somebody they are a bad person because they drank in the past.

Teddy is a hypocrite through and through

by the way, the nba sucks unless you have $ on it.

Bobby knight has a good saying about the nba.

"if the nba was on channel 4 and two frogs were humping on channel 5 I would watch the frogs even if they were coming in fuzzy"

I guess that will teach Ted not to question the administration. The nerve of him to actually question a Supreme Court nominee. He is getting what he deserves.

he has zero moral authority to question a nominee

not sure why the democrats have him on there

what would you think if the republicans put DeLay on an ethics committee?

EXACTLY!!!! There other dems that could be on this commitee with MUCH higher morality and ethics to put these questions on him.

Also there is a difference bettween questioning a nominee and accusing him of being a biggot.

The Delay comment is RIGHT ON. Could you imagine if if there was a role reversal with delay being on an ethics commitee questioning someones ethical character?????

THE DEMS WOULD BE OUT IN FULL FORCE, AND RIGHTFULLY SO.

He's a racist because of a joke told at a private party compared to a person that headed a KKK group.

Yea Master you better get a grip, you've been reading and listening to the your left wing media too much. It's much better to deal with facts and respond.

Plus what has this to do with my original post of a murderer, plagiarist, cheating liar, drunk, philanderer????

You tell me little man what does Byrd have to do with the subject???? Seems like we have a slew of guys that hav like 50 posts and at the same time Manson and Palehose disappeared! I highly doubt it was a joke spoken by Lott, as these were his true racist feelings unless of course you tend to only watch Faux News!

Democrats ooze hypocricy....They can sit there and claim to be the leaders of racial equality and such and can have a sitting senator THAT WAS IN THE KLAN!!!

Can you imagine what network news would do if their was a Republivan senator that was in the clan. There would be a stink over it to rival the lewinsky scandal

It's my understanding that John Boehner from my area (aka the Fourth Reich) is the leading candidate to take over Mr. DeLay's leadership role in the House. Actually, he should fit the role just perfectly as he was the gentlemen who several years ago was passing out tobacco lobbyist money on the floor of the House.

Is this a great country or what.

That was pretty funny Xerces. Any issue with the truth of my statement about Boehner or you just attacking the messenger of this former Gingrich lieutenant?
