:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: Edgerrin James signs with Arizona See ya buddy

It took only one visit for Edgerrin James to find a
new NFL home.

The Indianapolis Colts? career rushing leader agreed with the Arizona Cardinals today on a four-year contract that is believed to be worth $30 million.
The Colts opted to not offer James a contract, enabling him to become an unrestricted free agent early Saturday morning. Later that day, he arrived in Phoenix to meet with coach Dennis Green and other Cardinals officials.

Arizona made certain James didn?t leave town without a new contract, and NFL home.

James spent his first seven seasons in Indianapolis after the Colts made him the fourth overall pick in the 1999 draft. He won league rushing titles in each of his first two seasons and rushed for at least 1,000 yards in five of seven seasons.

In seven seasons, James rushed for a club-record 9,226 yards.

James is coming off one of his best seasons. He earned his fourth Pro Bowl bid after finishing fifth in the league in rushing with 1,506 yards.

James is the second player the Colts have lost to free agency in as many days. Defensive tackle Larry Tripplett signed with Buffalo on Saturday.

Also, the Tennessee Titans are expected to make a strong push today to sign linebacker David Thornton.
