Captain Serious, Jonathan Toews, was the Conn Smythe winner in 2010. If he is going to accomplish that feat again he would have to have a Stanley Cup finals that would be truly amazing.
Toews totaled 29 points (7 goals and 22 assists) in 22 games during that playoff run. This season in 17 games he has one goal and eight assists which leaves him with nine points. That leaves him tied with Michael Handzus for sixth on the team.
The Hawks captain will have to try and overcome a giant in Bruins captain Zdeno Chara, who helped shut down two of arguably the best players in the league, Crosby & Malkin, during the Eastern Conference Finals.
It is hard to imagine the Hawks could win the series without Toews contributing big. If they lose and he doesn't produce, the captain might be facing some serious questions this offseason.
