..... at least at this site. ;)

Philly -139 Pinnacle
Myers / Action

I am bullish on Myers as most here already know. Though his record is only 3-3 he has an ERA of 2.21 and a 1.19 WHIP, both outstanding numbers. The problem (and my concern) is the team does not score many runs for him. Along with hitting only .245 this year they have only averaged just over 3 runs a game for him when he is on the mound. Not a very big margin of error to deal with. Having said that I believe they will be able to score off Seo tomorrow. Mets hit even worse than Philly and now with Piazza on the DL things can't look good though they have played decently the last few games. Here are some trends:

Philly is 4-1 in Myers last 5 starts.

The road team (Philly in this case) has won the last 7 meetings between these two clubs.

Mets are 1-6 in Seo's last 7 starts.

Though I know Philly doesn't hit for some reason they are sending out a guy who is 2nd in the NL in ERA. In his 3 losses he lost 2-0 to Pitt, 3-1 to Florida and finally this last game a 2-0 loss to Arizona. That Arizona game scared the daylights out of me as we had Schilling in that 2-0 loss he pitched in. Always a risk and at -139 you don't want to lose many of them but I stand behind this play as a strong one up until it loses. ;)

No action but small leans on SF and the White Sox as well. Good luck today men.

Good luck today Robert. I'm glad to see you like one of the games that I'm also on. I don?t know if most cappers have noticed the good job Meyers has done or they just want to keep it a secret. I?ve been waiting for him to pitch again and jumped on this game last night.

Just to reiterate what Burgh said....I think it's a great play IF the Philly bats show up, and that has been a big if lately.

GL tonight.

Thanks guys for the welcome. Man it was looking bad until they took Seo out. The Phillies just came out smoking after that. Whew....;)

Joe in NY - I am not Robert. We are two entirely different people. I often get mistaken for Robert B. Irish but despite our proud heritage we are not the same. The easiest way to tell the difference is he's a competent handicapper...... LOL. I am just out here floundering around.

I will take the win though and a 1-0 start here. ;)
