Like I posted the other night when the Knicks played Detroit there is no reason to bet them. Take Goldnen St.

The Knicks are awful.

Unfortunately Harrington did play for the Knicks, maybe you mean Jackson wasnt playing for the warriors. I didnt know either. Sorry.

I will continue betting against the Knicks though as this team is putred.

haha

I just joined the forum and saw this post.

I'm a New Yorker and yes I admit it's not wise to bet on the Knicks. If you want to always bet against them, however, it's probably best to lay off some of the games. They are 8-8 afterall and seem to be handling most of the other rotten teams in the league. Now, Golden State for example. They've had a kind of rough schedule, but their defense freakin stinks. And as far as Stephen Jackson is concerned, I think he's one of the most inconsistent players in the league so far this season. I doubt he would have changed the game much vs. the knicks. That along with the fact that GS lost 5 straight before facing NY on the road, and played the previous night too.

If I remember correctly, there was no real spread, so it made the game worth betting on.

I'll do my best to help you guys out when it comes to dealing with this wonderful knick team . I'm actually doing alright with them on the games i chose, spread U/O usually and a couple dogs. Now if only the good teams haven't been letting us down these past few days. ha

Good Post but I must disagree about Stephen Jackson. He is the catalyst do it all for the Warriors and he is having an All-Star season for a bad team and him definitely not playing put them on the same level as the knicks that night. Im telling you with Jackson the Warriors win that game.

I'd agree with you if he was an efficient contributor at this point of the season. Crawford is off to a better start. lol SJax is a -58 in the plus/minus stat and the Warriors as a team are -63. Last season he was +200. C. Watson filled in nicely in every statistical category shooting over 50% to rival SJax. I just feel that Jackson has been having too many poor shooting performances and has had lots of bad turnovers. That in addition to the Warrior's season so far WITH Jax. They were blown out by the Wizards (2-12 record) last week so of course I felt good about this match up regardless who they have suiting up. Looking at this game after the fact, the knicks really were grooving on the boards, hitting their 3 pointers and their assists were 35 and GS 22. 13 pt win ain't bad. But yea, SJax could have exploded for 45 points with 60% shooting. I wasn't betting on that though. ;)

Knicks nailed a 3 at the buzzer to cover +spread vs. blazers!!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ kurby

not really depending on when and where you bet it I played it about 4pm EST and got it at -6 most places it closed at -6.5 so blazers covered for most players.

Well unfortunately for SJax he is playing on a team where has to handle the ball 90% of the time and he also leads the league in minutes played. He isnt a PG and he is being forced to that position. Jamal Crawford is a shoot first shoot second play no D no Rebound no assist and play off the ball player period. No doubt in my mind SJax is the better player especially if he can play his natural position. I watch a bunch of the warriors games and trust me this guy is forced to do just about everything for that team, I dont care about any -58 I actually watch what happens not go by stats.

Yeah man, you're right about SJax. I'm just focusing on his current situation and how he doesn't enable his team to pose much of a greater threat to opponents unless he has a huge game. I liked him better when he was with ATL and INDY. The Warriors haven't been beating anyone lately and havin Jax in the backcourt doesn't help matters. So far his defense at PG isn't hurting the opponent. He shouldn't be a PG. JCraw is a bad defender (good fit for GS ;) ) but he's a good SG otherwise.. he's even a good passer for a shooting guard as he's improved in that area. The past year he's been averaging 5 to 6 assists and continuing that in GS.
