Coming in September I?ll be posting statistical projections on all NFL games. In the first 3 weeks of the season my model uses a combination of data gleaned from last year?s stats as well as this years, so it?s not until week 4 that the projections are solely based on performance data from the current season.

look forward to your input.. dig the number crunching

the first few weeks will certainly be interesting from a data standpoint given the situation with San Fran.[Jimmy G #'s] Buffalo> Taylor's #'s there and what use are they now with A.J. starting ..Tampa Bay with slow go Fitzpatrick for who knows how long ...

Naturally, I?ll have to wait and see how injuries will impact the initial projections, but I have run those Week 1 games, and although my model projects the Eagles to win that first game, the Falcons should cover pretty easily at +4. Although it will be against Wentz, it?s hard imagining him topping Foles? numbers last season when they met in that Divisional game they won 15-10. IMO Atlanta lost thanks to a poor offensive system the Falcons used at the end of the game, inside the Philly 10 yard line (4 passes, 3 to Julio Jones, double and triple-covered), and a terrific goal line stand by the Eagle?s defense.

I can?t friggin wait.

Agree. Not sure why they?d hire a notorious drunk in the first place, or if he was plastered in that Divisional game, but what he?s done to the Falcons offense is a crime, taking a 33.8 PPG team down to 22.1!! I don?t get why he?s still around.
