Last week the model ran with the dogs, picking 9 to cover, and went a very decent 10-4 ATS. This week it likes 10!! Which is double-dog-crazy – and I don’t like it. Contrary to some opinions, Vegas line-setters aren’t crazy, and don’t suffer from recency bias; so, bettors, be careful this week. That said, of the 9 dogs the model liked last week, it won 7, and all were upset wins (not backdoor covers). So, maybe it’s the league that’s gone a little nuts? Another thing I don’t like is the model going 6-8 SU, 42.9%. It should be hitting 70% by now. A repeat of this performance and I’ll be considering pulling the plug, regardless of a good ATS showing. Also, remember these initial projections are based, in part, on performance numbers of those players who started the previous week, and do not include injuries or other lineup changes projected for the coming week.
