every so often a blurb runs across the bottom of my screen with war updates....this is what i just saw....
"7 palestinian civilians killed by u.s. troops at checkpoint...soldiers waited to long to fire warning shots"......"44 u.s troops dead....145 injured....7 captured"......'coalition troops meet stiff resisitance at najaf"..."administration underestimated iraqi resisitance".."a tiny victory as water runs to umm kasr".......
the figures may not be exactly right, but that`s not the point.....does everyone see the prevailing sentiment here?......i swear,if we win this damned war,we will have to defeat much, much more than just the iraqi army......i truly believe, that if this war goes badly,it will have much more to do with the negative bombardment of the media wearing down the resolve of the american people, than anything the iraqi army will have done......the enemy within......and my theory, although many will disagree,is that this is the media`s way of getting their pound of flesh for the past presidential election debacle....
