I know it's here somewhere but I cannot find it. Does anyone have the numbers around the % of time the outright winner has covered on MNF? I believe it is in the high 80s?

Thanks.

Over the last 2 years, I believe on MNF, it has only happened 1 time that if they favored team won, they did not cover (Carolina over GB last year).

You must factor in a few things here.

1) Normally, the teams are fairly even, so the spread is usually low.

2) If the underdog wins, that throws out the spread

3) As someone pointed out to me, if you look at most NFL games, the spread doesn't not come into factor

Not sure if you want to include SNF, for the most part it is the same %, although Denver won last night and did not cover.

I think it's near that range for all NFL games. This week, only two teams who won outright did not cover the spread (Denver/Seattle).

isn't it important to calculate the trend using only 10+ point favs? i could care less if 3 point favs cover >90 percent of the time because the bears are not anywhere near 3 point favs
