The Green Bay Packers are turning to the legions of faithful cheeseheads to make sure Lambeau Field is in good condition before the divisional round playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
With snow expected on Saturday night, the Packers put out a call for 700 snow shovelers to help clear Lambeau Field on Sunday morning before the game.
According to their website, shovelers will be paid $12 an hour and must arrive by 6 A.M. Shovelers must be 18 years old. The Packers will provide the shovels.
According to Benita Mathew of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, a storm is expected to dump 8-10 inches of snow on Saturday.
It's not an unusual practice for the Packers. As of December 11, the team had already asked for public help twice this year.
The Packers take on the Seahawks at 5:40 P.M. on Sunday. The weather is expected to be clear and in the low 20s.
