There are 60 five-star rated prospects in country. 111 div. 1a teams. This year Texas already has 24 verbals and a team is "supposed" to give out 25 max per year. Texas has 2 5-star recruits who have verballed. Very impressive! Last year USC lead the country with 4 five-star recruits. In 2004 USC set recruiting record with 8 five-star recruits. 2nd highest # was 3 by 3 teams (Miami, OU, and LSU)
As I have shown, teams are "lucky" and very "fortunate" to get 2 five-star recruits in a class. These are the elite of elite players. Look at Texas. They are #2 in country playng for NC and they have 2 five-star recruits and their recruiting class is practicully done. Texas job well done! What is USC cooking up?
*23 five-star recruits have expressed at least a medium interest in USC.
*6 five-star prospects already have visited USC.
*12 more five-star recruits have scheduled future visits to USC.
*USC will get visits from at least 22 five-star prospects.
*USC coaching staff is confident in signing at least 10 five-star recruits!
Now 3 years ago I said Carroll was building a dynasty at USC. I was laughed at here at MJ's. Well I got the last laugh. But I was wrong. Carroll is building MORE than a dynasty. He is building an NFL franchise at USC! :mj07:
What Carroll is doing at USC is unheard of. USC already has talent advantage over everyone in the country. USC already has coaching advantage over everyone. Now USC is trying to widen the talent gap? Carroll is quoted as saying he only wants to recruit 1st round NFL draft picks at USC. Was he serious? I guess so!
THE NCAA NEEDS TO GET PETE CARROLL BACK IN THE NFL OR USC WILL JUST FLAT OUT DOMINATE CFB LIKE NOBODY HAS EVER SEEN!
If Pete Carroll stays at USC for the long haul, (like Carroll said he is many times), then Pete Carroll will go down as the greatest CFB HC EVER in history. Nobody is going to put up the #'s he is and to do it now is MUCH more difficult than it was 30 years ago. Quite amazing.
Thought I would inform everyone what the future looks like for USC. Just like I did 3 years ago at this site! USC acts like they have not won a NC in 20 years the way the coaching staff recruits and is motivated. Quite scary! :scared
Carroll is quoted as saying he wants to take this success as far as he can. Carroll also told a friend of his that he wants to win at least 5 National Championships at USC. The way Carroll is recruiting, I think he can do it!
