I read this article on espn the other day, and it got me thinking. You see, I've always believed that 99.999% of baseball's problems was in the owner's attitudes towards the game. For an example, contrast the attitude that the charlie fineleys, the george steinbrenners, the rupert murdochs, the peter angeloses, and the tom hickes of the world have for their game with the attitude that the wellington maras and the art modells have. Its about football, but I think it summarizes all of baseball's problems, and I believe the #1 problem baseball has is that the people who run it don't care about the long term future of the game. I could never imagine an article like this being written about baseball.
