Pittsburgh, Pa.
These Pirates are on pace for 105 losses, which would be the third-most in their 120-year history. The 1890 Pittsburg Alleghenies went 23-113, and the 1952 Pirates 42-112.

This losing streak won't end anytime soon.........against Penny tomorow, then the Chisox, tough for fans of the Bucs. First 10 game losing streak since 1968, that's saying something with the bad Pirate teams lately.

Tom, what is the vibe of the Burgh about this franchise?!!! When I was still back there 2+ years ago, owners/mgmt had been claiming at that point and each year for 10 years prior that they were building for the future???!!!! 2 years later, and this team is the worst...definitely hard to stay a fan through this tough 15+years.

People out here in Philly are furious if the Phillies don't get into the PLAYOFFS every 5-6 years, let alone a freaking winning season...Pirates haven't even had one of those (a .500+ season) in, what, 14-15 years? I believe the only hope is if Mark Cuban comes back to his hometown and saves this team...McClatchy and the gang obviously either a) don't have the funds to provide a winning product or more likely b) do not really care about providing a winning team to our great city of Champions. It is disgusting!

Yea, but they still had Bob Prince:

"Chicken on the hill with Will"

"Its a bug on the rug"

"You may kiss it goodbye"

"All we need is a two bloops and blast"

I remember back in the early seventies...during the summer...all radios were tuned to his call of the Bucs. Richie Hebner was about to bat..he had a bad habit of grabbing himself. Bob Prince said once, "if he does any more digging, he will need a shovel."
