if you go frame by frame from the main (side) angle it sure looked like the light was on and the ball just barely on his fingertips

still......nice fuking inbounds pass then the dipshit stockton stands there instead of getting his ass on the court and back on defense....had he gotten out there immediately he would have tiped away the ball on the dribble by jones

Think shot looked good,

But

Agree with you all. Should've never happened. Wtf is he thinking

Only thing you can't do in that situation is throw the ball way up in the air to noone and have a butler guy around to catch it. Seems simple.

Wow never seen someone panic like he did

As bad as the last couple possessions looked, I also attribute it to good coaching and good defense.

Everyone knew Butler was trying to throw to halfcourt and call timeout. How many times is that easily done....but Gonzaga actually defended it and forced a timeout and then a catch (60 feet away from the basket) and travel.

Gonzaga's inbounds was bad but they also had no timeouts so a 5-sec call would have been even worse. He threw it up to a guy with a significant height advantage and the guy just got completely outmuscled. It bordered on a foul with a little push at the end.

In all honestly before that final shot was probably a foul. A lot of contact produced by the offensive player to make room for the shot. But of course neither of those is gonna get called esp in a situation like that.

What a game and what a win.

agree with everything you say BUT

no reason for stocton to lob that ball in when the count wasnt even at 2 yet....not even sure it was at 1 yet.

unreal......if you're going to lob a pass in like that lob it under your own basket 90 feet from the other basket not at midcourt where it's now a 3-2 fast break

just horrible decision

Yeah I agree. I think he panicked. Had he waited just a second more, the tall guy (sorry cant remember his name) broke to his right and would have been an easy pass to a really good free throw shooter.

A great game with a crazy/great ending for so many reasons. Hate to see the mistakes like that and yeah...the guy panicked and made a horrible decision to actually let me win a bet! lol
