"In the four years since the inspectors left, Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qeada members ... It is clear that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

-Sen. Hillary Clinton Oct 10, 2002

What it looks like without the ". . ."

In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001.

Shame on you again, Manson

Shame on me?? How about shame on Hillary...she's the one who said it.

Who said anything about Septermber 11th???? You need to try and stay on topic. You liberals say there was no connection between Saddam Hussein and Al-Queda and Hillary's quotes contradict that. Thanks for distorting my claim. Hillary said Saddam was harboring Al Queda members. Yeah shame on me...shoot the messenger. Nice spin job there buddy.

There's a link between you and Al Qaeda as well as you're both humans. But you are right, you didn't ask for the link to September 11th, but I assumed that you were trying to make a point - always a dangerous assumption with you.

Who cares what Hillary or anybody else said. They didn't have the power to order an invasion. They aren't the ones prosecuting(sic) this debacle. They aren't the ones changing the reason for it every month.

Regardless of who thought what when, there's no way to tell what actions they would have taken if they had been president. It just so happens that Bush took the worst possible action at the worst time.

Meanwhile, the seals are coming off nuclear equipment today in Iran. We have no leverage and no teeth because we are all f*cked up in Iraq.

Hillary is probably going to be your next candidate Kosar....what do you mean "who cares what she said"?? I guess liberals don't care about their own candidates "lies".....only the opposition's. Total hypocrites.

I also wouldn't worry too much about Iran Kosar...after all, your beloved corrupt United Nations is on the case as we speak!! :mj07:

kosar, you being an authority of the changes occuring in Iraq, (you must talk with the soldiers that have served over there or the hojis, im assuming) please
enlighten the class with some points on how we are" f*cked up in Iraq??? "

p.s. October 2002, your boy Senator Kerry voted to grant President Bush a blank check to make war so how can you say that bush took the worst possible action without realizing it was a bipartisan push???? it's amazing how you can contradict yourself with so few words..bravo, princess

It is one more example of what was once a theory held by every politician, right, left or in the middle. What Hillary said, as well as Kerry, et al, should be expected. What shouldn't happen is that people deny that this was a common thing. Now, even though there are reams of documents of Democrats stating similar things, certain segments attribute those thoughts ONLY to Republicans.

Speaking for myself, I don't only attribute those thoughts only to Republicans. As i've said many times, even if we did find WMD, I still think it would have been a big mistake to engage in a full-blown invasion/occupation at that time.

It's easy to go back and cherry-pick quotes from politicians from 3, 5, 10 years ago.

That's not the way to justify a war, or else we'd be fighting half the countries in the world if quotes like these are the standard.

If we invaded Iran, you would have a list of quotes from Dems.

If we invaded North Korea, same thing.

Now go on down the list of another 50 countries.

  Matt - now that is the kind of talk that I can totally respect. You say that even if there were WMDs you wouldn't have been in favor of the action taken. I can respect that. Consistancy is seldom seen here or anywhere else.

So Kosar is here at home reading his latest edition of Newsweek telling us that Iraq is bad. It's awful funny how the soldiers who ARE THERE IN IRAQ tell a totally different story. I have plenty of letters from soldiers if you'd like to read them. I know people who are there. Just say the word. Either that or maybe you can get a Newsweek discount if you also subscribe to the liberal-distorted New York Times.

Thanks Fred. Same goes for you. :)

Manson,

I've already replied to you at length about why those soldiers can be correct and I can be correct. They're not mutually exclusive. You ignored that post, not surprisingly.

Go find that post and respond to it.

I'm done going around in circles with you and your buddy 'scribble scrabble.'

Iraq the Florida of the middle east. Folks line up just trying everything they can to get across the border. And bring there bombs with. What a great place. So far estimates are at a little over 100000 civilians killed in last 2.5 years. Not to mention our 1800 soldiers. Just so they can have elections. Chit they did'nt need our help to do that. Oh ya it's a screwed up places alright.

WTF are you talking about, 'the Florida of the Middle East?' Last time I checked Florida only had borders with Georgia and Alabama.

Are you saying the rednecks are infiltrating Florida with bombs and shit?
