I looked at the Sox's (yes Bo and Chi) total at 9 and figured it to be an over. I'm not a huge Wakefield fan, despite his successes this season. And, MJ was on it too! All the more reason to press.

So, I go to place the "investment" and all I can get is 9 -130. Now, how often do you see that. More often than not, the books would shift to 9.5 or 10. But to put a total at -130, hmmm.

I plays it anyway and guess what?

So, help me with the interpretation. (I need to learn from this regrettable experience). At -130 on a total, have the books taken a side? Were they happy money was pouring on the over? Did they want it to keep coming?

Give me your thoughts on this. I'd like to learn. Perhaps I should have played with the book on this one? Anyone have stats on totals that go above -120????

Depends on the book, but when my sharp office does that, what you experienced today tends to happen a lot. I have posted a few times when this happened, and each time, the opposite to the (-130 came in). I'd be curious if to see stats on this as well though....
