Uconn- 3.5

I am from CT.
Like Bear, I have been following Uconn for a long long time.
This is a huge game for them.
I thought Gordon, Okafor both had real nice games vs providence.
I think the home court will be a major factor.
The crowd will be going crazy for the boyz as well as Jimmy C.
This is Uconn's 1st home game since Jimmy went down.
At Va Tech they did not show up.
But at Providence, a very hot team they returned to form..
I look for uconn to play there best game of the season today..

Above the Clouds....
What a boost if Coach C showed up? Anyone thought of that angle yet? He is out of the hospital, and may be well enough to watch his team at home.

Well they do play their hearts out...LOL!!!!

Kudos on your kick ass run last week!!!!!!!!!!

Two words though CARMELO ANTHONY this kid is the real deal.

Okafor and Gordon really need to have their A games tonight, if Hakeem Warrick can slow down Okafor inside it could be tough for UConn.

Cuse has really benn catching fire McNmara has espically stepped up his game at the guard position. I like the Cuse here as the sky is the limit for this squad

GL on your play!!!!!!!!

Hey MF,

Was just getting ready to weigh in with my homer Husky report and selection for tonight............
What a game this will be....................WOW!
The "Cuse" deserves accolades because they are on their game and picked up a big W at W. Va. with balanced scoring (29 from Anthony) and 18 from Billy Edelin off the bench. McNamara is a possible zone breaker as well.............( CT went to the zone D vs Providence with great success) I expect that the "Cuse" will shoot better than the Friars did (19-59.......they really got BLOWN OUT.....only reason score was under 20 was free throws and sloppy late play.) Anyhow...... CT matches up with anyone...period! They just don't play well (frequently) but when they doooooo they can frequently overcome their bad play.....
They are young and when things go wrong they really go wrong.
Trailed by double digits in 9 games already... If they play like that tonight ........THEY LOSE!

BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BUT

I believe they are a much better team without Taliek at the point.
He has the heart of a lion but I prefer Having 2 40% 3 point shooters who can fly, slash, and shoot on the court all game.
Advantage CT at the guard position....Both TR and BG are quite capable at the point.
Denham Brown and Rashaad Anderson........2 more 40% from 3 point land (sharing time) give CT 3 shooters at all times...they will need to step up, take the shot, and bring that zone OUT a bit.
Okafor can handle himself down low and won't get those pitty-pat road fouls that take his game away.

Different team....will try to put a lotta bodies out there on Carmelo......and they have a lotta decent guys at 6' 8" + ready to share time making Carmelo work for his points........

Sooooooooo "Cuse" gonna take it on the chin tonight if they get the CT ........"A" game.

Good call!
Hard nosed defensive play by Marcus White, Hilton Armstrong + Shamon Tooles ........made Okafor's job a lot easier tonight.
Our boyz are growing up a little now and although they really have it tough from here out.......They should be alright for the tournament........
Kid who I really like is Rashaad Anderson......no turnovers there
He loves to put it up.........strong play in the first half.

Well naturally they played their hearts out.

I thought UC did a top notch job of breaking the press.

'Cuse was off last night shooting below 30%..still I love my boy Carmelo, can you say lottery pick.

I look for uconn to play there best game of the season today..

They did.

Anderson played well, kinda of reminded me of Ray last night.

Anyway,
