THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES WILL LOSE TO

THE TENNESSEE VOLS

Tennessee_Vols.jpg

3 Headed Monster

G - Chris Lofton - 21ppg / 47.8 FG% / 41.7 3PT% / 81 FT%
G - JaJuan Smith - 15ppg / 45.4 FG% / 36 3PT% / 72.9 FT%
G - Ramar Smith - 11ppg / 43.1 FG% / 31 3PT% / 67 FT%

I love these 3 guards on Tenn. They all are excellent shooters and love the 3 ball...vrs LBST the trio each scored over 20 pts, and all 3 shot 50% or better from beyond the arc. Lofton also had 20 on the Cavaliers in round 2. This team is on a mission and really shut Singletary down.

These 2 teams are no strangers, they had a meeting earlier in the season where the Vols traveled to Ohio State and lost by 2. Tenn is very well coached and this is the biggest game of these kids careers. The Buckeyes are lucky making it to this round as they were very close to being eliminated when they played Xavier. They should have been eliminated and if they don't play flawless basketball, this will be their last game. Nobody on this Buckeye squad has seen the Sweet 16 and the pressure will be on in a neutral court.

The Alamo dome will be behind the Vols and would love to see Oden and the #1 seed take a long ride back to Ohio St. The Vols love the quicker pace and succeed when they are able to play their ball. Their key is feeding off Lofton. They have some great players but Lofton getting his touches, and baskets, is key. If the Vols can control the pace and run Oden up and down, getting him tired, they can win this game. The three games Ohio St. lost this season, they had to play at a pace quicker than what they would like.

Lofton will need support, because he can not win this game by himself. Dane Bradshaw will have to show good vision and feed the ball to the shooters. Chism will need to do the best job he can to contain Oden, but he will need help and Bruce Pearl will have something drawn up I am sure of it.

Lets not forget that this team beat Florida and dominated them for most of the game. It was a home game, yes, but they are more than capable of beating this Ohio St. team and I love the coaching and players the Vols have.

On offense the Vols LOVE to run and LOVE to put up 3's in transition and can get huge momentum in their favor when they hit. They like to press and force turnovers that they can score off of. They have great depth and like to go 9 deep because they have the athleticism to do so.

It is only Tuesday and this line will change I am sure, but right now the money line is at +170.

I will hold off before making this play to see if I can get a better number than +170, and I think I will be able to closer to game time.

LETS GO VOLS SEND OHIO ST. HOME
:00hour :00hour :00hour

(will post the ML I play when I make my play)

Great wite up Air. Thanks for taking the time.

I am on Tenn also.

Thinking Ohio St's Oden just doesn't have the legs to run here. I expect him to be a non factor. Against Xavier he spent a ton of time on the bench trying to catch his breath. It almost appeared he was sick or something.

Needless to say I was unimpressed with Ohio St.

The o/u here is at 144 1/2. That has me thinking the odds makers feel Tenn is going to get Ohio St to run, and if that happens Ohio St is toast. I am going to take the 4 1/2 point here and pound the 2nd half over if Tenn is up at half.

IMO only two ways to play this game:

Either

Tenn and Over
or
Ohio St and Under

today is the day. Vols are ready.

When the teams met in January, Oden has his first monster game: 24 points, 15 rebounds, perfect from the foul line (6-for-6), four assists, three blocks and a steal in 36 minutes.

Ohio State won 68-66, but it wasn't easy. The Buckeyes, playing at home, still needed what was then a career-high in points from freshman point guard Mike Conley and a 3-pointer from Ron Lewis with 11.2 seconds left.

TONIGHT IS A DIFFERENT STORY, THE BUCKEYES DONT HAVE THE HOMECOURT ADVANTAGE, AND SAN ANTONIO WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM GO HOME.

The last time these teams met, Pearl threw a full-court press at the Buckeyes and rattled them into 20 turnovers, about twice their average in the Oden era.

ML is hovering at +180 and think it can hit +190 before game time. Will be watching it throughout the day.

also throwing this play into the mix...

MEMPHIS TIGERS ML +140

dont love it as much as the Vols but this is a very good play. Memphis will beat the Aggies tonight regardless of Douglas-Roberts being 100%. Do not let that fool you. They are so deep that Douglas-Roberts being less than 100% is not enough to cost them this game.

Memphis will win this game by putting the Aggies in foul trouble. The Tigers love going to the basket and they will get there and be fouled. The Aggies have a hard time stopping the drive without fouling and the Tigers will exploit that. Acie Law will need to have the game of his career for the Aggies to win and that will not happen against this tough Memphis D. TIGERS WIN.

damn why don't you just move to tennesse while your at it airportis LOL

Another solid write up, I think I will put a small wager on the Tenn ML

I will be rooting for them anyway, and I dont think refs will let Oden throw a kid into the third row again without giving him a T or a flagrant

GL tonight

Great Write-Up Airportis............I put a little on this pick because of it! I will be looking for a nice middle opp at half. Refreshing to see some well though out analysis. Good Luck the rest of the way!
