My first thought is that they would fight it. They could lose a ton of revenue if they have to limit the keywords that companies can pay to advertise for. We use Google Adwords as our main source of advertising, and we have small bids on a couple of our competitor's names--as do some of our competitors have bids on our name.
Take a couple of bucks per month from all of your advertisers and your looking at a substantial shift in revenue. Another example is since some of our competitors have bids on our name, we have to bid higher to make sure we stay on the top of the list in the Adwords section. Once again, driving revenues up.
