Since I have been try to figure this game out, it seems as though I can figure on 1 or 2 games doing the following. I took the CWS with Lowe pitching. He had a record of 6-1 with a ERA in the mid 3s. Tampa Bay came into the game with the worst record in baseball and had Kennedy on the mound who has not been doing that well of late. I figure that even if Kennedy has a decent game, the White Sox will be able to outscore the Devil Rays. I figured that Kennedy couldn't hold Canesco, Konerko, Lee, and Durham down the whole night and on this I was correct. What pissed me off was that in the 3rd inning Lowe was really struggling and Alou just kept him in there. First Lowe allowed runners on first and second, but I'm saying O.K. just calm down and we'll get out of the inning without too much damage. The next batter comes up and what happens, Lowe hits him and I had that sinking feeling in stomach. The next batter comes up and you guessed it, he hit him to walk in a run and push the lead to 2-0. I don't remember how, but we get out of that inning 4-0. The next inning I'm saying to myself, I hope we have a pitching change. But no the first batter up, on the first pitch, hits a homerun. Now it is 5-0 and I'm thinking to myself they have to get this guy out of there, but no, he gives up another hit before Alou yanks him. What transpired may be not be exactly like that, but I was so mad that I don't know if I got the facts exactly right.
All I know is that Lowe was struggling and nobody seemed to give a s!@#. He just didn't hit one batter. He just didn't hit two batters. He just didn't hit a batter and give up a homerun. But he hit two batters and gave up a homerun which equated to 4 runs. Am I missing something here? When in the HELL do you say enough is enough.
