I take my dogs for a walk every day at this big park that is enclosed and owned by Southwest Airlines. I take them off their leashes and let them run free and do their business. Right after I left them off the leash, I look back to see where they are and they are running up on two big dogs that come out of the trees. My two are little 18 pound Schnauzers that think they are 188 and are up against two 80-90 pound dogs that could crush them in one bite. These dogs did not do anything to mine and after getting them back on the leashes, I put them in the car and walk back out to check on these other dogs. They are hanging out in this dried up creek bed and it appears someone has dropped them off here because there is a six quart sauce pan where water used to be, it is now empty. They are both very friendly, wagging tails and liking to be petted. I drive back home, get a big gallon jug full of water and about two pounds of dog food and drive back to the park. They ate ALL of this food in less than two minutes and slurped up the water.

My dilemma is this, my place is not big enough for these dogs or i would bring them home. I have rescued both of my dogs in the last nine months. They do not have any collars or tags. I am afraid to call Animal Control because if they cannot find them a home in a short period, they put them to sleep. I will check on them again tomorrow and feed/water them. It is obvious they were left and they are just hanging out there waiting for someone to come back, it is pitiful. I would love to kick the ass of this heartless person that did this to these good natured dogs. I even drove around for about an hour looking to see if anyone was out looking for their missing dogs.

The SPCA will do everything in their power to find them a home......and you said they were friendly so odds are even better:SIB

Call the SPCA:SIB

And remember having a dog starve to death is no way to live, great your feeding them, but how long can that last....plus they probably need medication as well, so I think SPCA is best way to go :SIB

Good thing you found them before Mr Vick. Otherwise, there would be 2 more dead dogs in his yard.

Set up a sting. Get the Video camera out & catch the asshole that left them there. Document how long they have been there, at least since you noticed them.

Post the video on YouTube & shame this jack ass. Then turn it over to the authorities & let them get charged with animal cruelty.

Dc,
Try to find a "no-kill" shelter in your area or a rescue organization. They'll take care of the dogs and find them new owners. All dog lovers are glad to hear of the GREAT KINDNESS and CARE you exhibited. Good luck in finding new homes for those abondoned pooches. You are truly "paying it forward."

Thanks for the props but was not looking for that, I am an animal lover and it pisses me off that someone could do that. I appreciate the feedback on possible outlets, called the rescue place that I got my dogs from and she is just full past capacity and cannot take anymore. I hate to call the Animal Control because they have like two weeks to be adopted or :scared

I just went by there at lunch and they are still there. Took another gallon of water, it is freaking 95 degrees again here today, and i will go back around six with another pound of dry food for them. Tomorrow I will call around until i find someone that can take them. It is so sad, it is obvious some one left them because they are just hanging out in this spot and there was one big pot of water that was left {empty by the time I found them} and they are waiting for for the asshole that left them to come back.

I would like to find that person myself! Obviously though, the dogs are better off if the asshole DOESN'T come back!

Just got back from taking them a couple more pounds of food and they are still hanging out in the SAME spot. That is why I know they were dumped; been taking my boys down there for over six months every day for a walk and all of sudden these guys show up three days ago and do not move from the same spot where mysteriously a a big pot of water was left:shrug:

Good work, dunclock. Hope a good home can be found for those dogs. Funny how they haven't tried to find their way home ('cause home sucked). You're obviously another dog lover.

I would do something as far as reporting this soon.

The last thing anyone would want to have happen is some other sick **** finding them & doing some Vick like stuff to them.

Poor doggies.

Good work though, us dog lovers appreciate your kind gestures.
