Why do teams like Ucla (at San Diego).....UNC- Wilmington (in North Carolina).......Duke (in North Carolina)..........its not fair to let these teams play so close to home...........

umm, so teams dont have to travel 2000 miles when a pod is in driving distance. saves time and money.

It's so unfair the Pac-10 champion and Pac-10 tourney champion gets a favorable location in the NCAA tourney.

You make an excellent point.

Illinois cant complain after last year.

The whole thing is bogus.Especially Nova- pretending that building isnt a home court.

But if you are gonna do it, you dont give an advantage to the lower seeded team, like UCLA v Memphis potentialy in Oakland, Arkansas-Memphis in Dallas, etc.

the only team playing close to home that really didnt earn it was wilmington (winning the CAA shouldnt carry that much weight). the rest of the teams earned it. that makes the regular season worthwhile and a fair reward. it doesnt bother me.

Earn it? SHould we just make it like women's basketball and make just about every game a home game? You dont think UNC earned playing in Greensboro? You know why they arent there dont you?...

so you want to penalize teams whose fans travel well by sending them 2,000 miles from home?

It isnt a penalty. You should treat the teams failry and equally. Why should any team be given a home court advantage? That is the alleged reason teams dont get to play games at their "official" homecourts. Under your theory, should we just go ahead and put region finals on home courts too?

And plenty of teams did get penalized under your rationale. WHy is UNC playing in Ohio instead of Greensboro? Yet 3 seed Florida gets to play down the road. BC had to fly cross country to play Thursday after a Sunday game to play Pacific. Illinois is a higher seed than Washington but has to go to the left coast to play them. Etc ,Etc.

Where games are being played is overly influencing who advances, and that should not happen. We saw it with Syracuse in 2003, Michigan State in 2000. Teams like Duke and Carolina are obviously great teams, but it sure is alot easier when every year one of you, if not both, get two games in your back yard and the next two pretty close.

don't see how you can interpret this as bashing. at least 3 times you let it be known ark had an advantage playing there. guess now they can sell their tickets to texas fans. by the way i do not play your plays. tried it the first 2 times you played baylor and lost and gave it up.
