Just some quick thoughts..;..

NYR/Phil

Gotta think it's 1) a huge game for Philly against Lindros as the fans won't accept anything short of a blowout and 2) NY has been playing lousy on offense.

Blues/Pit

Big return of Mario but I would think the Blues would be up for this game playing against him and I don't think he'll be in game shape as of yet, Blues playing well lately.

Dal/Det

My line I get is 1.5 at SIA I figure it will be a tight game as always with these 2 and with Hitchcock going back to the checking game, under 5.5 is awful enticing.

wigs posted earlier that Turco is starting, I have not seen this guy play much but got to think that throwing him in against Det. and in Det. will be a little much for this guy to handle.

Last big game Turco played was last January vs. Jersey. He choked bigtime, and got pulled in the first period.

You are right about Dal. playing defensive but I would not take Dal. Like you said, the under might be a better play.

I just think there are way better games on the card Sat. I am staying away from this game.

although the +1 1/2 goals looks enticing, I do not like it as a play for myself. Living in the Dallas area I get flooded with info on the Stars every day. It seems that Dallas plays better on the road than at home and with the public local spat that Hitchcock and Belfour are having it seems to add to the distraction on the Stars side. I think if you are going to make this play you would have too lean heavily on the under also....Dallas WILL NOT score three goals in Detroit but det. has the potential to score five easily. The speed in Dallas is gone and old legs abound. Derian Hatcher is the worst team Captain in hockey as he does not have a grip on this team. Detroit is absolutely stacked and I would love to see the number on saturday home games for Detroit willing to bet its huge! Dtroit did not play well at home until the last period last time and eeked out an ot win. They will be looking to do more and put some distance and send a message to a Stars team that is a shell of its former self.....heck they are already calling to trade belfour in the papers today!! I think Detroit and the over is the way I would go
