Troy -3 (HT is 6-1 L7, only giving a 3)
Detroit pk (Titans better backcourt and front)
Iowa +2 1/2 (Not the same Spartan club of old)
UNC -4 1/2 (Bullock gets his groove on w/McAdoo-doo)
Penn St -2 (Lions up for this one - NW some injuries)
BYU -16 (Cougars good at home, won this one by 38 last year should be at least 24 this time)
Kentucky -12 (bought down the hook, Coach Cal get his young team ready for 2nd half surge)
Oregon +1 1/2 (Altman under-rated coach still, Cats have skated by the few games - Ducks at home)
Utah +5 1/2 (Utes much improved, strong ATS and at home this year)
Colorado -9 1/2 (Buffs crushed Trojans last yr away, strong at home and better coached)
Idaho pk (Spuds at home)
Pacific -5 1/2 (Glad line dropped on this one, Tigers 7-3 L10 vs CSB)
Gonzaga -8 1/2 (line dropped 3 1/2 pts? WOW, St M has been a roller coaster club all year, Zags have that feel at home with big Canadian in the middle)
Rider +2 1/2 (Dog is 5-1 L6 and Road Team 6-0)
S Dak St -8 (Jackrabbits will run over Oak tonight)
Weber -10 1/2 (Weber very under-valued and under-rated, they may get to the Final 64 and make a small impact there)

add:

Tenn St -11 1/2 (T ST beat T Mart last two times by nearly 20 - no change here, even with one player out)

C o C -13 (Charleston) Samford on the road is nearly minus 20, C o C very tough at home and especially in conference.

Why I like Ky over Vdy: Vandy this year has underpeformed horribly and they have no rhythym whatsoever and the big kids for Ky are starting to find their spots and coming through defensively, even though caliber of opponents not that good, they played very well vs L'ville and should take that same approach into the Music City, only opposition on this play is Dog in series is 4-1, but Vandy 0-4 as the Home team - Vandy beat Ky in SEC tourney LY, Coach Cal using that info today once again.

Totals

Totals

Now onto the totals tonight:

If anyone has been counting, unders on weeknights have ruled the short season thus far and overs on the weekends. Either that means the nets are tight and the brix are frequent on school nights or the refs don't want to call fouls early in the game. How about last night in the first 5 minutes after L'ville/Hall 1/2 time, no one scored a friggin basket or even got close to the net, with the total going under 136 by 5 points!!

Tonight this is what I conjoured up!! GLTA

Over 136 1/2 Iowa/Michigan St (Hawks like to run, Eye-oh-way 82 Mich St 74)
Under 141 1/2 Miami-UNC (Coach L likes slow down, UNC can't hit FTs, so UNC will try to up the pace, UNC 68 UM 58)
Over 145 1/2 Gonzaga/St M (Zags 86 StM 72)

bol2nite:toast:

Thanks E F!! Tough night, the round ball is doing funny tangs around the rim today.

Very very large card for Saturday. Hope to come out ahead by a couple games tonight!!

BYU came back big time after being down at the half!!

UNC ain't going to the NCAA, it will be the NIT and Roy looks very ill, no good skin color, lots of splotches on his face, talent level is there, the execution level isn't, just like when he was at Kansas, they started to wane down in Lawrence and they are waning down quickly in Chapel Hill too I'm afraid!!

10-11, too many games, too many losses by a bucket and too many blown double digit leads with just minutes left. That's basketball for ya!!
