Plays ranked in order of strength
1.SF/FL under 8.5-110
These teams have not scored a ton of runs lately and now will have to deal with the rather large stike zone of Mark Hirschbeck. Hirschbeck has called 9 of his 14 NL games under the posted number allowing a combined run total of 6.73 and 9 of his 12 games with a R X R matchup under the posted number allowing a combined run total of 6.54 runs. In the last seven games the Marlins have hit a pathetic .188 while scoring an avg. of 2 runs and the Giants have been slightly better with a .239 BA and an avg. of just over 4 runs. The combination of Hirschbeck and two struggling offenses should lead to a low scoring affair.

2.NYY/Seattle over 9-110
HP umpire Matt Hollowell has some positive numbers that favor the over in this game. He has called 7 of his 9 AL games over the posted total with a 10.73 run avg and 9 of his 13 R X R matchups over the total with 12.73 run avg. The Yankees are 7-3 out of their L10 and have won 5 straight while batting .292 and scoring over 5 runs a game. In today's matchup the Yankees face Franklin who is a decent pitcher that has split time pitching between pen and rotation but usually does not stretch out past 6inn. The Mariners have also been hot as of late at the plate with a .270BA and 5 run scored avg. The Mariners have the potential to rough up a struggling Mussina who has been giving up ton of hits and throwing lots of pitches. I might be missing something but 9 seems too low a number to pass on the over!

3.Arizona over(waiting for posted total)
Obviously I have no line on this one but if the wind is not blowing in signifantly HP Foster has strong over numbers here. When calling games with a R X R matchup he has called 9 out of 10 over the total with his only under back on 4/6. Both pitchers have received adequate run support lately with the one exception being the pitching duel Batista had with Brad Penny his last start. In their L7 games the D-backs have hit .282 and scored just under 6 runs while compiling a perfect record. The Cubs have been hitting .286 with a run avg. hovering above 6.5. If the wind is blowing out this could get ugly!

4.Arizona +130
The D-backs are hot winning 7 straight and 8 of their L10. Batita has been pitching well as of late and the team has been scoring runs. Wood may still be hot about getting thrown out of his last start and be prime to get hit hard. I don't see the Cubs slowing the D-back machine down!

5.Det/Balt under 8.5-110
In their last seven games both teams are hitting just abovce .200 and scoring around 2 runs. HP umpire Bruce Fromeing slightly favors the under but I'll chalk this play up to the struggling offenses here.
