Would like to bitch a little about the 5 runs in the eighth last night and all my friends bickering on the forum but I won't. Paying the juice is making me very unhappy but here's how I see it today.

Scary game. Looks like a total mis-match. Mussina has been great lately, Garcia hasn't.
Huge adv to NY on batter/pitcher match-up. NY stranded more runners last night than Sea managed to get on. As I predicted, both pitchers did well, the home run being the difference. Pettit (life-time era 8+ when starting 1st game of series in play-offs) was as good as I have ever seen him. Here is the fly in the ointment tonight. Wally Bell (the great equalizer) with his larger than life strike zone. Should be another pitcher's game with whoever makes the first mistake looses. The problem with this game, it looks to easy to cap. That scares me. You see why I almost never change the size of my bet?

Agree with your thoughts, it looks too easy. I don't believe the books are giving away FREE $$$ tonight. May be wise to be a watcher for once. Good luck on your plays!

I have a question for you or anyone else who wants to chime in.

It concerns the total tonight.

I feel Garcia might be in for a rough night, he's been slipping a tiny bit and now goes on 3 days rest. That may not factor into the equation, and also remember his stellar performance in Yankee Stadium last year.

Is the middle relief for Seattle ready, if the baton is passed to them?

You also mentioned a point I'm concerned with, relating to the total.

The Yankees did hit well yesterday, not taking full advantage with the runners LOB. Game 1 could have easily gone over.

Just thinking about a total play and all input would be welcome.

my 2 cents...

Have always looked at the under first during the playoffs and has proved to be very profitable.

However, I'm very hesitant to play u7.5 tonight for some of the reasons kc wolf has covered here - Garcia on less rest, Yanks bats have come alive and left numbers on base y'day, Mariners, while not regarded as a big offensive unit, can string hits together and have a massive advantage in a leadoff hitter like Ichiro...

Mussina's form leans to an under and, as with the NFL, I love playing an under when you believe you can have one side scoring very few points/runs...ump Bell is a factor too...

Going to be a pass for me on the total. Always hard when there's just one game a day to pass but must ....(grrr)...maintain....(strainnn) .... discipline (oooofff)

Think kc may be on the right side - again
