Help please

Help please

Box could you kindly help me? I coach girls basketball 12-14 yr old. My team is very good as I preach defense.
We are one game away from repeating as champions...It was interesting as a team we have beaten twice this season already and was the 4 seed knocked off the 1 seed. I saw one of the girls today and was congratulatory and asked her how they beat the #1 team ? She said ran the box and 1 all game - :toast: So I immediately chuckled and knew I had access to the man himself ! Could you give me some simple insight how to destroy the box and 1 they are going to run. We beat them both games by 10+ cause I love to play lock down man to man defense and push the tempo on offense. We play inside out with 2 good paint players and 2 3 pt shooters..the other girl plays midrange shooter. Thank you so much !:0008

T... get my email from MJ....will try to explain...what position is the girl you want to "box". the hardest to box is a pt gd who has a good handle. If the player is a 2-3-4-5 then its much easier...also since you play man/man now your changing your whole team defensive scheme...you have to be careful...if you played zone or some zone that is better...but if you never played zone and its only 1 game your changing you have to be very careful..esp with young kids...get my e-mail and I will drop you a line.....you don't want to make to much change with only one game left....we ran "box" from the 1st day of practice to the final game of the season..my kids could do it in their sleep.... we called it " Stevie Wonder" defense because they all knew what to do...even with their eyes closed...
