0-4 on my 3* plays last night, the rest of the card did fine, but when you lose ALL your biggest plays.... well, let's just say:

It's really kind of hard to get ahead...

when all your numbers are sitting in the RED!!

It will get better, I promise not to make as many plays tonight..... ;) and I promise I won't lose more than FOUR PLAYS all night!

Good luck tonite! :SIB

Spurs -2.5 / 96.5

Spurs -2.5 / 96.5

I'm liking the BULLS here... they are out hustling the SPURS (19-0 2nd chance pts), playing aggressive, winning the boards 28-22 (10-1 OFF REB) and have made less TO's. They aren't shooting well, 36% to 50% for SPURS, but I think they win this game on grit and San Ant poor FT shooting. I mean the SPURS have already missed 5 of 11 FT's and DUNCAN hasn't shot one yet.

I can see the SPURS boxing out better, trying to clamp down on DEF in he 2nd half, but I still think the BULLS pull it out.

BULLS +2.5 ** DOUBLE PLAY **
Under 96.5 ** DOUBLE PLAY **

Good luck! :SIB

Port -4.5 / 98.5

Port -4.5 / 98.5

This game sets up just as the first one did, home team shooting horrible, but totally out hustling and banging the boards to the tune of 29-17 and a huge 18-0 Off Reb differential. This does not bode well for Denver who managed to get off a mere 27 shots the whole FH while PORT was rebounding their way to 51 attempts. Well there is one problem, PORT has two big men with foul trouble, ODEN and JOEL P, so I look for DEN to exploit this with Billups and Melo slashing down the lanes to easy scores. However, PORT is very tough at home, ROY has done very little, so I think DEN has a big 3rd qtr, takes the lead, and the PORT pulls away late as the NUGGETS lose their luster and run out of gas.... should be a BIG 3RD QTR for you QTR players, like 58 pts or so. But here's my take on it all!

PORT -4.5 ** DOUBLE PLAY **
OVER 98.5 ** DOUBLE PLAY **

Good luck and Good nite! :SIB

less defense 2nd half

less defense 2nd half

Can't see PORT risking ODEN/JOEL P early on in the 2nd half with both having 3 PF, so I think DEN will get lots of easy scores inside in the 3rd and will actually lead the game. BUT, PORT will pull it out. DENVER is coming off a huge win last night, it's cold and snowy in Denver, couldn't have been fun packing up and leaving in the middle of the night and landing somewhere just as cold. Add to that the ALTITUDE effect of leaving Mile High, it will sap their wind later in this game.... look for PORT to pull away late and win by nearly 10 or more.

Rander - Denver didn't fly in until 4 AM this morning. And this is a back to back game. I think that will have an effect?!?! My lean is under. Your thoughts?

I like the over play, I have a strong lean there... but I'm not sure about the Blazers 2nd half. I think Denver is a lot better than they're given credit for. A ton of talent on that team and unless their shooting goes cold, I see them staying in this game and possibly winning outright. (Wish I took the ML at +320! I was looking at it) Regardless, I can't play it myself. I'm not making any real NBA plays until at least late Nov. I need a bigger sample size and I just need to see if some teams are for real, great example being portland tonight. I just want to know that they can close teams out at home. No so sure yet... but again, I wouldn't be surprised if Denver took this game on the road.

That 3 at the end of the 3rd was big for the over, as well as your Portland bet. Let's hope for more scoring here in the 4th qtr.

Damn wish I would of considered the tone/physical 1H, setting up for more foul calls in the 2H. clock stop + more FTs = 2H over.

Great call on the over guys!!!

Over was money in the bank! :00hour
Portland 2nd half showed me that they can't close a good playoff caliber team out at home.
Still, not a bad day. Let's keep the 2nd half winners comin Rander! :00hour

Good call...

Good call...

Liking Denver ML +235 myself. Although they're getting crushed on the boards, they're outplaying Portland & had a terrible 1st half.

My logic was saying Denver, but I really am putting too much into the Home Court this early in the season. That's a BUNCH of home teams ( good ones mind you! ) that have already lost at home.

I'll take 3-1 +3.8 Units though... :mj06:
