Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Cincinnati Reds/St Louis Cardinals Under 9 (+105)
Arizona Diamondbacks -1? (+110)
Boston Red Sox -1? (-110)
Chicago White Sox +110

1 unit bet pays 16.....another parlay later today....

Goood luck everyone!! :firing: :toast: :0074 :spotting: :em71: :drinky: :mj06:

MLB parlays this season: 1-27, +1.0 units (risk 1 unit each pick)... winner #1 posted Monday, August 14th...

White Sox Detroit 1:10 Shields (Bell - on CWS!...Shields could always stink in any start, but he does like pitching in this park and off a decent start, Bell not much to talk about and he won't be in there long so this CWS team - playing better of late - will see lots of that horrible Tigers bullpen...I'm on the over too..tho one of the few decent Tigers bats left on this skeleton team, Mahtook, is not in the lineup today...considering the CWS bats of late and this Tigers bullpen, the CWS bet would be the value: -1? +180

Oakland Boston 1:35 Gossett (Pomeranz - Gossett has handled the LAA and Houston bats of late, he could Boston. But after a Red Sox loss at home, I don't see it. Pomeranz should be better, in any case, despite this Oakland offense one of the best last month (keep your eye on them, gonna be strong spoilers down the stretch)..Boston bullpen really not taxed last night...Khris Davis is out, resting....Boston: -1? -110

Cinci St. Louis 1:45 Garrett (Weaver - going with the under here. Garrett's pitches were there in his last start, his first start since June, having worked out some wrinkles in the minors, his velocity and throwing motions are better, but gave up some homers. He should be better today and did dominate this STL team earlier in the season...Weaver of course been excellente (under is 4-0-1 in his last 5 home starts...

Colorado Arizona 3:40 Bettis (Godley - AZ RL - decidedly better pitcher (overall, and of late, and vs this team) and more rested bullpen, better team (which is at home), this line should be higher...

thanks man!

well, decided to make some Jambalaya and run errands, so was too busy to look at tonight's games...and was too lazy to do all the work earlier like I should. So no evening parlay...at first glance I was liking Cubs and Texas (Cashner been strong and King Felix will be pitch limited) - but no time to look into them....

I did have this written up on the Cubs starter:

Tseng won "Cubs Minor League Pitcher of the Year" award (2nd time, won it in 2014 too)

I read:

But while Tseng was in town to get some pre-game recognition for that award yesterday, he got a little bit more than he (or anyone) expected: ?I just sat down with him in my office,? manager Joe Maddon said via CSN Chicago and MLB.com. ?I said: ?I guess you?re here in town to accept an award.? He just looked at me and I said: ?How about you start tomorrow night?s game instead?'?

he sports a combined 13-4 with a 2.54 ERA in 24 starts between Double-A and Triple-A, a 1.80 ERA in the batter's league high minors, but a 4.25 FIP. Tho that always been the case with him, he outperforms those peripheral stats, as he is a command-type pitcher, with fastball in low-90s, works that with a good change up, but weaker 3rd and 4th pitches, induces weak contact, lots of ground balls, not gives up many walks.

I generally avoid taking pitchers in their MLB debut as ya just never know what will happen with all that nervousness. Unless it's some star pitcher who's been in big games in college and such, and if he pitches with a lot of deception, making it especially hard for new batters to get a bead on him. Or if a good leftie..

But considering how Lugo is off a gem and rarely has two of those in a row, with his low strike out rate and lots of balls hit hard, and Maddon so good with these young pitchers, and Tseng does have an array of pitches to keep unfamiliar batters off balance, and Cubs need wins real bad - I can see parlay Cubs with Bengals moneyline or something like that....this is my favorite time of the season to bet MLB (I need to get to Las Vegas soon!) with all the unpredictability for us punters to research as most of the attention is now on Football - thus more than usual amount of soft lines and unseen angles out there for us to grab!
