looking for a goalie duel at Boston. Theodore 1-1-1 vs Bost this season, 0.65 gga. Raycroft (grew up as Habs fan in Belleville) has 1-0 and 1-1 game vs MTL this season. Both goalies and defenses in better than usual form now too. Under hit last five meetings, under 15-3 for Boston with Raycroft at home.


Just gotta take Rangers with the 2 angles--new coach and historic play vs NYI (and the price!).

TB and Toro getting lots of overs. In fact TB over has hit 15-2-1 last 18 overall. And netminders getting worse. Leafs official site now confirms Tellqvist in goal, and no Roberts.

Ott and coach very pissed at losing yet another game after being ahead in 3rd. Should be ever more focused tonight against a team they own.




2-3 last night, -1.13. And Pitt finally won and blew the chalk parlay!

that takes it to -4.75 for the season, SU pics (94-89-8).

18 losing posts in last 37 and +12.60 in that run. tho that run isn't what it used to be! High mark (so far!) was 6 losses in 24 posts on Feb 2 and +25.88 units. I usually do good in 2nd half, but not generally a slide like this! Tho only been following hockey for three seasons...

Hey TR, JMHO I agree this game is either the Strangers or Pass. Can't really argue with the Price, the Biatch angle, nor the New coach angle. But just to play devil's advocate, here're my thoughts about this game......

1) ML+160?? This line is just begging for the Rangers money, IMO. It's not hard to find that the Rangers are 5-0 this yr vs the Isles. The 2 games in LI this season were -125 and -135, now all of a sudden it's -180??

2) Short turnaround time for a revenge. The Isles were biatch-slapped literally at MSG just on 2/19

3) Playoff implication: The Isles are in 8th place with 20 games to go, every game is crucial to them.

4) Battle of NY: It's bad enough that they lose the 1st 5 games of the series. I'm sure no one in that locker room will wanna be swept by the hated Strangers. How embarrassing would that be? This game WILL be like a playoff game to the Isles, while it's really more or less just another game for the over-paid under-achieving Strangers.

Again, it's hard to ignore the Biatch angle. But there is a fierce rivalry between the 2. It's not like the Buds vs the Tampons tonite where they just can't beat them, but no real bad blood between the 2.

Having said all that. I'm not playing either side of this game. I'm just gonna sit my ass in front of the tube, down some brewskies and watch an old-fashion slugfest. Last game had over 100min of penalties, and I expect to see just as much in this game.

1--I found that "trap plays" in NHL happens less than other sports (for my handicapping style anyway, tho that changes all the time...) and last meeting this seemed even more true but I bit and won big (on -1/2 line).

2--short turnaround, but these long simmering rivalries are more than revenge. NYR got nothing else to play for (except show off to new coach?)

3---True NYI playoff standing important. Was nearly as important Feb 19 when NYR blew them out 6-2. And blowing them out doesn't seem to help motivate them to avoid yet another blowout. Goalie Dunham seems to have a lot to do with this.

4--NYI would seemed even more primed for this one so not to suffer season sweep, but NYR got additonal angles in their favor too. So I see it all a wash and therefore one should take the +157


Yeah, probably just watching it is the smartest thing...
