Kansas City area for who knows how long....
WA -1.5 +166
PHX -130
AT +125

parlay: NJ +1.5, MTL +1.5 (1 unit pays 1.28)

parlay: NJ +1.5, MTL +1.5, NYR ml, AT +1.5 (1 unit pays 3.87)

parlay: NYR ml, WA -1.5, AT ml, SJ ml, Phila ml, Colo ml (1 unit pays 32.49)

WA showing some defense and Kolzig usually sharp after a rest...speaks of how PHX tends to
bounce back strong after bad loss....AT, NJ and MTL on a roll. Nash and Calgary don't beat
too many teams by 2 goals or more anyway.

1-0 last posting (Tues) in that parlay, +1.21 units

SU pics 52-52-2, -2.86 units
parlays 17-27, +30.65 units

--since I've resumed posting (for 37 days). I was down like 12 units before
that......And, yes, I've always done better at parlays ---lotta practice due to a
history of sheer desperation and chalk betting!

all flat bet 1 unit risk per pic (for example, a +135 pic would pay 1.35 units,
a -135 pic would pay 0.74 units).

no SU chalk over -170

Any comments?

Good luck to everyone!!

AP preview on PHX game speaks of how they tend to bounce back and win after bad loss (or, at least, point you in figuring out that):

The Phoenix Coyotes will try to bounce back from one of their worst defeats this season and stay above .500 as they play the Florida Panthers in the second of a three-game homestand.

The Coyotes were routed 6-1 Monday by the Washington Capitals, matching their worst margin of defeat this season. They also lost 6-1 Nov. 30 at Anaheim and 7-2 Jan. 10 at Ottawa.

Shane Doan had Phoenix's lone goal against Washington, scoring on a first-period power play. The Coyotes were denied their first three-game winning streak since Dec. 3-11 and have lost five of their last seven games overall.

"It's a pretty low period right now," Coyotes defenseman Paul Mara said. "We had two fantastic games versus Buffalo and Toronto, and to come down ... with that type of performance (against the Capitals) is unexplainable."

Florida has lost four of its past six games after a season-best three-game win streak to close out 2005.

The Panthers have been idle since a 5-4 overtime loss Saturday to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Florida squandered a two-goal first-period lead, but salvaged a point when Nathan Horton scored with 47 seconds to play in regulation.

Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo made 18 saves but gave up three third-period goals.

"The goalies shouldn't have been the difference in the game," Panthers center Joe Nieuwendyk said. "They just chipped away and got back into it."

goalie Cujo also coming off confidence building win, and knows darn well there is competition now for the starting job, or at least playing time.

I like the ATL pick. They have a great chance to keep their franchise record streak going against a banged up LA team.

Take a look at this injury report:

Atlanta Thrashers

Peter Bondra W Day-to-Day (strained groin)
Bobby Holik C Out Indefinitely (broken foot)

Los Angeles Kings

Eric Belanger C Out Indefinitely (groin injury)
Valeri Bure W Out Indefinitely (back surgery)
Pavol Demitra C Out Indefinitely (leg injury)
Ryan Flinn W Out Indefinitely (head injury)
Alexander Frolov W Day-to-Day (flu-like symptoms)
Mathieu Garon G Day-to-Day (bruised shoulder)
Aaron Miller D Day-to-Day (sore back)
Jeremy Roenick C Out Indefinitely (broken finger)
Lubomir Visnovsky D Day-to-Day (cervical strain)

Good Luck on your picks, thanks for the Phoenix writeup.
