was worried Pitt might think this game with Nash a must-win, being 7 points from final playoff spot held now by Boston. However, piece from paper here by Dave Molinari show the math and Pitt chances for postseason very tiny:
"We have to remember that there are a lot of games left, and we're just a handful [of points] out," left winger Steve McKenna said.
The math is more dire than McKenna makes it sound. If Boston maintains its current pace, the Bruins will finish the season with 87 points. For the Penguins simply to match that total, they would have to go 14-5 in their final 19 games.
Factor in a schedule featuring four games against Philadelphia, two with Ottawa and one each against New Jersey, Detroit, Colorado and Dallas, and it's easy to project how the season will play out. No matter what the players contend.
good luck everyone!
thanks Froggy!
I did see your comments on refs. trying to find those sites which list them well before gametime.
