The Windy City
The under looks good. Good Luck.

I don't post very often, maybe once every 2, 3days or so, but I read almost all the posts when I visit here. I'll take this opp to tell ya "thanks" for the write-ups and the "Doggy System". I always keep a real close eye on them.

Milw at CHI CUBS

Apparently the wind has shifted in CHICAGO as they've posted a line of 7.5 a day after 19 runs are scored...

Now I know the wind accounts for alot in WRIGLEY, but seriously, is this too low for two sub .500 pitchers??

HP UMP Layne is 13-10 O/U and 15-8 HT which bodes well for CHICAGO and OVER. The interesting part is, LAYNE'S last SEVEN games have all GONE OVER
eek.gif
with the home team winning, and 8 of his last ten have gone OVER, with the AWAY team winning both games that went UNDER. Ironically, both game won by visiting teams involved a DAVIS. DAVIS of CINCY beat Hermanson 3-1, and DAVIS of TEX beat HUDSON at OAK, 2-1, both games back in JUNE. Granted, not many games involved top notch pitchers, but APPIER was involved in that streak as was MADDUX. He was also behind the plate on MONDAY when the CUBS won 7-4 with LIEBER. He's UMPED 10 Milw games over the past 3 seasons, and MILW is 2-8 in those games. HAYNES is 0-2, while Tavarez is 0-1, the CUBS 5-5 in the last ten with LAYNE behind the plate.

I realize HAYNES has a tremendous O/U record on the road at 3-11, but it's due more to lack of run support than his stellar pitching. He does have a very nice 3.15 ERA on the road, but we're looking at a total of 7.5 today, not 9 or 9.5.

TAVAREZ is starting to struggle after a very nice stretch for him. He'll be going on 3 day's rest and only lasted 3 innings last time after going 5.33 and 2.33 prior to that. He was terrible at home vs COLORADO, and appeared totally out of sync.

CUBS OVER 7.5 -110 ** DOUBLE PLAY **
CUBS -155

I see LAYNE's trend continueing here, as the CUBS have to be juiced about yesterday's game and want to keep that momentum going. SOSA is red hot and unlike MAC, he'll go the other way if the wind is too strong to go deep. CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!! FINAL: 6-4

Can't seem to get a side and total to work together for me yet... CUBS can still come back, but I'll be happy if CINC wins 7-2 and the CUBS get the game over the total.

Cleveland at OAKLAND

Two of the best young lefties in the game go head to head here in what should be one heckuva a pitcher's duel. SABATHIA has a very nice 10-1 record on the road, while MULDER is 9-1 at home. SABATHIA has gotten great run support on the road, but can't see that happening today vs a HOT MULDER, and a cold CLE hitting lineup. The only fork in this whole deal is how will SABATHIA react to facing the team that tore him up just a few weeks ago when the A's beat CLE 17-4 in CLEVELAND. The TOTAL has now dropped to 8.5 -120 in alot of places, and that's hard to go UNDER with these two lineups. As good as CC has been, I think the A's get it done today as MULDER is more apt to go the distance or close to it, and CLE will have to go to an overworked BP, which may cost us the UNDER.

OAKLAND -160

As a side note: HP UMP DALE SCOTT has some interesting numbers as well. FAVORITES are 9-1 in his last 10 games behind HP. HOME FAV's -125 to -180 are 9-1. OAKLAND is 8-2 when Scott is behind HP, while CLEV is 2-8.

In those games, the OVER came in 6-2-2 for the OAK games, and 7-3 when CLE plays. Last year he was HP UMP in Mulder's 8-5 win over NAGY in CLEV. However in his last 10 games this year, the UNDER is 7-2-1, with HOME AND UNDER hitting six of those times.

For what it's worth, if I had posted WLA day games, Oak would have made the list. Good luck

TEDY... please refrain from giving us a running score, as you've been told about this before. I come back to check my thread from time to time and when it's only your scoring update, and nothing to input, it's annoying as hell... quit wasting mine and everyone else's time with your worthless updates and comments.

btw... game is now 5-2, A's back in it!

Detroit at SEATTLE

The last two times that SEA faced lefties was in NY, and they pounded both LILLY and PETTITE early! REDMAN was going well as a rookied for MINNY before injuring his arm and has now ended up in DET in the TODD JONES deal. I can't see him having any better success than the two YANK hurlers here in SEA, so look for another long nite for DETROIT, as PINEIRO has tremendous stuff and has been nearly unhittable at home! SEATTLE ALL THE WAY!

SEA -1.5 -130

I think SEA will be up by five early in this game, which will allow the KID to relax and just pitch. Predicted final: SEA 8-1

adding these...

SF OVER 9 -120
PHILA UNDER 9 -105
LA OVER 8.5 -120
ARIZ UN 7.5 -120
PADRES +140

SF has put up big numbers every other game so far vs MONTREAL, after a cold nite last nite, look out EXPOS! BONDS sitting, but he's still available to Pinch WALK! DODGERS BP troubles continue and BALDWIN is strictly a HOME pitcher... BOTH offenses going well so far in FLA, look for another shoot out. BIG TIME UNDER UMP in PHILLY! He's 2-15 O/U on lines 8.5 to 9.5!! I'll go with the two kids to keep it low scoring. PITT couldn't hit LOPEZ last nite, getting shut out, and now they're gonna warm up and hit the BIG UNIT??? Pleasssssssssseeeeee...... and finally San Diego is a tough road team, Lawrence has been excellent away from S.D. and MILLWOOD is not MADDUX. ATL is still a go against for me at home facing a RH starter.

Boston at ANAHEIM

RAPP has pitched well for the ANGELS but seldom gets alot of support. I think last nite's game will carry over tonite as the HALOS played a great game in winning 4-2, and I see a similar type game tonite. ANA doesn't hit lefties extremely well, and I think RAPP can shut down Boston, so I'm looking for a low scoring game with the ANGELS coming out on top!

ANAHEIM -130 and UNDER 9.5 -120

now if I could just get BONDS TO PH a HR here in the ninth, I'd be liking it! It would make up for the .5 run loss on the LA game~!

Nope... got the kiss of death from the announcer when they took out RAPP. He was saying how "Rapp has to feel good KNOWING he's turning the ball over to the MAJOR'S best bullpen, who HAVEN'T BLOWN a lead in....." That's when I turned the channel... They managed to make it thru that inning, but it was only a matter of time... man.
