Flyers -170
Seemed steep at first, but given the situational intangibles it seems like bettors are being discouraged from backing Philly. These are two teams with almost equal records, but both are currently playing poorly. The Flyers are 9-6-1@ home so it's not like they're overly dominating in their building. Despite an unsure feeling, I'm going to back them tonight.
Bruins -174
Toronto is easily the most jekyll-and-hyde team in the league and yes, they're a lot like a box of chocolates too. Last trip in, however, Beantown was having none of the Kessel return hype and seemed like they were out to prove a point. Toronto's goaltending situation is far too shaky to back them here and Boston looks like a solid play at -174.
Habs +135
Pens have been playing sub-.500 hockey on the road over the last month with a 4-5 record in the past six weeks away from Mellon. I feel this is going to be a good, close game that will probably be go to the wire. Montreal has been playing much more determined hockey of late and have been quite stingy, allowing only three-in-three. Expect Montreal to come out and play some good D tonight, score first, and win a close one at home.
