OAK (Zito/Oliver) -170
Look for OAK to rebound here. TEX just 2-5 lst 7 vs. LHP, OAK 5-3 vs. LHP lst 8. Oliver is 4-4 6.66 ERA at home, 3-5 5.82 ERA w/ 5+ days off, and 2-0 but a hefty 7.63 ERA vs. OAK. Zito very solid recent form, 3-0 0.43 ERA, he also 2-0 vs. TEX but a much more palatable 3.86 ERA. Run support is also significant for Zito at 5.7-3.9. OAK will also have the 'pen advantage.
BOS (Castillo/Rupe) -160
Going with some not-so-obivious numbers here. First the obvious, Rupe is 1-7 8.95 on the road and is 0-3 w/ a 12.60 ERA in 15IP vs. BOS. Now the not-so-obvious, Castillo has been beaten recently at home but it has come vs. 1st place teams, CLE/NYY/SEA no shame there, and TB is still a .352 club. Also I don't think Castillo's ERA vs. TB is a very ggod sampling at 1.2IP, that game BOS lost only 3-4. Current form would also favor Castillo 3.93 ERA 8.3MBA vs. Rupe 7.16 ERA 14.3MBA. The only caviat would be BOS motivation, other than that the better team should win out here.
Well, it's off to hit the NCAAFB books.
